Software Update!

I got mine done today.
Adas speed warning now stays off *Yay*
Fuel gage seems more accurate. Or should i say it progresses more linearly down to zero. Prior to this it stayed full and then suddenly dropped a lot just before going to reserve.
Screen seems more respnsive. I hit the offroad button and its immediately on the screen. Prior it took a few seconds. Just seems more instantaneuous.
I've configured the fav button to show the temperatures screen.

I also got the buttons replaced all around for the sticky button problem. Got new keys and all. So far so good, they seem to be working well.

I'm very happy with my ineos!

James, I had this issue start last week and I've not had any update, it appears to have sorted itself now, I concluded it was an issue with WhatsApp itself that they've now fixed.
Thank you for letting me know @jdgoodwin, I hadn’t realised there was an app store update for Whatsapp which I’ll do now. Fingers crossed that fixes it for me. Much appreciated

Awesome I'm happy to hear it! Is yours 2024.1 or 2024.2? I'm getting my ADAS update today. The 2024.1 is only 3 minutes but the other one is 3-5 hours, because it has over 20 updates. Sounds like you got a lot more updates than a quick ADAS flash!

I drove 150 or so miles out and back to Danbury CT yesterday to have Curry Ineos do my 24.1 software update. (I was able to make the appointment just one day in advance while my regular dealer, Ko outside of Boston, was looking at sometime in August.)

Bottom line: It's a big improvement for me, especially for around town. For long highway trips, I am still going to need to disable the LDW (lane departure warning) feature but it causes no problems around town. So, incredibly, if I want to go out to the market, I just start the car. (Stop/Start disabled with Grenadier USA button pusher switch.) My previous problems with AEB warnings also appear to have ended.

Still, I don't see why they can't change the software to allow the owner to permanently disable the LDW feature as well.

Also, I'd like to be able to permanently turn off the WiFi name broadcast since it has the potential to be a privacy nightmare. (It's interesting what you see if you run a WiFi scanner in a spot crowded with cars: A lot of vehicles these days are broadcasting unique WiFi identifiers for their smartphone pairing.) Unless my general computer knowledge somehow doesn't apply here, the only reason to broadcast the WiFi network name is to set up a pairing; in every other context I've ever known previously paired devices have no trouble connecting to known WiFi networks even when those networks don't broadcast their name/identity. That's certainly the case with the routers on my home networks. So, please, Ineos: Let me turn off the name broadcasting feature of the truck's WiFi signal!

Happy Fourth of July!!! 🇺🇸

I don’t mind the lane departure warning system, since the IG seems to want to wander. Good when you’re trying to mess with the radio or music.

Totally agree with you about the tendency to wander. And I certainly wouldn't want to prevent people from having the option to leave their LDW permanently enabled. But I tend toward being a more pro-active driver and, unfortunately, too much of that driving is in eastern Massachusetts. (There's a term that's been -- in my opinion -- legitimately applied to describe drivers in eastern Mass. but I'm far from sure the term I'm thinking of would be appropriate for a post on this blog.)

And given that experience driving in eastern Mass., I keep a very close eye on what's coming up behind me on both the left and the right -- my Suma convex mirrors are totally awesome when it comes to giving me a decent heads up on what's coming at me, especially on the left hand / driver's side -- which means when I see a 70 foot long eighteen wheeler coming up to pass me on a curve, I move instinctively away, even when that means straddling lanes since (at least in my experience since I've been doing a fair bit of highway driving with the Grenny) more than a few tractor trailer rigs drift across the lane dividers, often at very high speeds.
