There was never actually a July release date; one dealership in Texas decided to tell customers there would be one, and it started this whole mess.

The Ineos CEO stated on a podcast at the LA Auto show that they were going to allow it to be turned off in North America, but nothing further officially than that.

If I were guessing, I would think that some vehicles get an update sometime in Q2 of this year; as always, definitely do not hold your breath. The reason I say some vehicles is the same reason why the CEL (fuel level) fix is not available for all MY24 vehicles

The dealer wasn't making it up though. I'd written Ineos in chat referencing the update back in June when I'd first heard about it and the rep said he couldn't say exactly when but it should be very close.

Sorry, I should say the dealer made up the release date based upon their own assumptions after the dealer summit event
