Software Update!

Hey all, brought my grenade in today for some work on a broken rear seat latch. The Service manager told me I'd be getting the long awaited software update today. "The one everyone has been waiting for." I had to run so I couldn't ask her more specifically but, could it be the infamous Speed Warning fix!!!!
Of course I have to wait for another part... so I will not get my truck today but, I'll let you guys know as soon as I do.
Anyone else hearing of this?

Thread 'ADAS Update? Is this really happening?'

I was on Reddit (I know, I know) this afternoon and I saw a post from 2 days ago about the ADAS / Software update apparently posted by a dealer reporting that the software updates dropped last week and are happening, can anyone confirm this?

Yup, confirmed. I received the update, no cost associated. Not sure what else it does but can confirm, speed warning remembers state. So it was switched off on my car and stayed off.

Rusnak Ineos in Pasadena, CA, installed software update for my 24.1 Grenadier in under 30 minutes. No drama and everything works fine. One option (not sure if it is new) I am trying alters me with a SINGLE sound whenever the camera reads a change in the speed limit.

lol why even put that in.. it reads the speed signs so unreliably, driver will become desensitized to the chime after a few drives

Are there any changes to your infotsinment’s start up procedure? Like door open / close triggers infotainment to boot up still?

You can toggle it off right below the speed warning. It stays off once you set it

Yes, thank goodness (but I am giving it a try to see if it helps with speed limit awareness).

Are there any changes to your infotsinment’s start up procedure? Like door open / close triggers infotainment to boot up still?

The Infotainment Screen still “lights up” (after a 10 second delay), but there are no longer any accompanying sound effects…

Branden at Sewell confirmed that 24.1 is now available, but they are swamped. I'm scheduled for Wednesday next week.

Mine is in right now for a total of 3 recalls, oil change, replacement sensor, new door seal, tire rotation. One of the recalls is the software, other is starter cable, and forgot the last but it was update something. Hope when I pick it up in a couple days the annoying bongs are gone!!!
