Raised Air Intake - Aftermarket Pre Cleaner Options

There is a screw on the corner of the guttering right behind your filter clamp but lower, it is holding the moulded rubber in place, I would be trying for a bracket from there to your clamp maybe cutting a slot in the rubber and getting better purchase off the metal gutter, hopefully stopping backward and maybe a little lift movement and if that doesn't work just slow down :ROFLMAO:

The aerodynamics with the updraft from the windscreen and just the force pushing into the air at 85mph will certainly stress what normally wouldn't be. Largo's is just that little bit higher so the wind has a chance to release a little bit coming up off the windscreen and we will have to find out how it goes at that speed if he travels that quick, yours looks a little wider but the surface area would be much the same? How about weight?(y)
Sy-klone pre-cleaner is smaller and lighter than OEM.

Looks like Sy-Klone 5-inch to 4.75-inch Rubber Reducing Insert (50R475) is a much better fit than the 4.5" one. The latter makes it very difficult to insert the Ineos adapter into the pre-cleaner.

Hi
I just wonder if anybody has waterproofed the raised intake for travelling through deeper water
Thanks
I think GrenX is working on a project...

Im a bit baffled by the CFM rating of the OEM unit since its efficiency range is well above what you're going to achieve with the B58. The Sy-Klone 9005 is a more appropriate fit, but even then, the CFM range is above where the B58 is going to operate most of the time, which means its not scrubbing efficiently. You'd be better off with the 9001 model.

From my calculations, the B58 maxes out at 445 CFM (@ redline, 6500 RPM). Of course, most of us aren't redlining our Grenadiers, so we'd probably want to focus on where the engine is at when we're rolling through dusty environments 50 to 250 CFM.

So the question here is: do you prioritize scrubbing or air flow efficiency? If you want a squeaky clean filer, you're going to want a unit with a much lower CFM range than the models in this thread. If you want some cleaning, but prefer zero air restriction, then select a unit at the upper end of what the B58 can achieve. After speaking with the GM @ Centri, he recommended the EX-30 / EX-40 models and was quite confused why Ineos would offer the giant Donaldson as an option.

Do I have this correct? Would love some insight because this isn't as straightforward as it initially seemed.
