When I installed mine I used a washer and some spacers I bought from Lowe’s. They placed the table barely past the plastic access door, so I ended up grinding off the top portion of the bottom back piece to allow access. The ground-off edge sits below the bottom table piece so it’s not visible. I wanted to have the table sit as flush to the back panel as possible. Great buy!!!

The spacers I used spaced the table just beyond the bumped out portion of the door, without rubbing the plastic panel. In the pic you can see where I used the grinder. Yes I’ll be painting the edges, I just haven’t yet. The removable door just barely slides in and out perfectly. I wanted the table as tight as possible with leaving scrape marks.

I got one of these for Christmas so I’ll be installing tomorrow. On initial inspection, it seems pretty well made. For 1/4 the price of some of the others on the market it would have to be pretty bad to not be a good buy.

I finally got around to installing my rear table this evening that I got for Christmas. There were a few things that I had to modify to make it work properly.

1) Similar to others I had to drill six additional holes to line up with the factory holes four on the top and two on the sides.
2) I also cut off the lower section of the opening on the main back mounting plate to allow access to the factory cubby in the door where my OEM tool kit lives.
3) I painted the cut metal section and the new holes in black paint and it nearly matches the powder coat finish, so I’m happy with it.

I used the 17 mm hex spacers which spaced the table about 3/4” off the factory plastic panel. I had some automotive washers with impregnated rubber that tapers and they fit perfectly in the tapered holes in the factory plastic cover. I knew I saved those for some reason! With the spacers and those rubber washers, the table sits about 3/4” off the plastic panel.

I have the Solid Wood Worx drawer system and with where I have it installed (theres a bit of tolerance with the mounting) there’s 1/2” of space between the table and the drawer face with the door closed so I’m happy with that.

I’ll try to get some photos uploaded but right now it’s saying they’re too big.

Thanks everyone for the insights and pictures. Just put mine on. The black nut threaded spacers were a bit of a PITA for me, probably because I tried to put them on all before mounting it. I also wanted something that would engage the back plate.

So I printed some new, non-threaded spacers. Takes out the need for the washers and threaded spacers.

I’m happy with it as it- but you can see that the spacers I printed a bit shorter, which I thought would be fine- but… since they are a bit shorter, it makes getting the storage panel a little hard. With the standard Black nut spacers, how accessible is the plastic door? I think I’ll Print out ones a bit longer to make the door more accessible?

I did go and got some M6x40mm black screws, I started out with the included silver screws, but they seemed a bit long.

I like it so far. Seems tight, not rattling in a short drive to test it out.

Included a pic of the left over parts. What is are the Velcro strips for?

I haven't accessed the compartment since I put on the table but I'm pretty certain I checked at install and there weren't any issues.

What is are the Velcro strips for?

Just anti-rattle protection. Likely works best on a Jeep. I didn't use any.

I like the 3D printed spacers, they are a very neat solution. I used 25mm long M6 threaded stainless standoffs for the purpose, but I am not entirely happy with them and feel an upgrade coming on.

The Velcro strips are for the Molle system so you can attach stuff to the outside of the folded table (bottom of the unfolded table). I have used two of them to attach a length of foam water pipe insulation to the bottom since I have a Rhino Rack box system in the back and under hard acceleration the boxes can slide backwards, the foam holds them in place.

Overall though this is a great little mod and the folding shelf/table from Amazon is amazing value for money.

I didn’t receive any Velcro pieces, I think.
To access the rear space, cut the top portion of the bottom, horizontal back plate. That’s what I did and it makes the space usable for storage. It’s a great place to put that front license plate you ‘forget’ to put on.
