Software glitches which I've experienced so far are particularly annoying. The most frequent one for me is when cluster doesn't light up on key turn and after that it's completely blank, no turn signals sound, but all systems it supposed to show appear to be working anyway. I've found its fuse (FC02, 7.5A, cluster, glove box, steering wheel) in the little panel under the steering wheel and will install a manual fuse tap switch there to give me a quick way to reset its power and hopefully this will be enough.
Did anybody try this approach already?
Another issue is with AC blowing melting hot. I wonder if same approach will work here too. Would probably need a thicker gauge fuse tap. Haven't found relevant fuse for this one yet.

Will this approach cause other codes to occur, possibly putting the car into limp or a no start mode? The BCM, security module and other modules will have a loss off communications due to the power interruption when resetting the fuse.

Installing a switch on your cluster fuse is a clever fix. Many people have done similar things to hard-reboot finicky modules. It should work for your blank cluster issue.

For the AC blowing hot, that's often a different beast. It's usually a physical fault like a blend door actuator, not a software glitch a reboot can fix. A fuse tap likely won't help there. You'll need to diagnose the specific AC problem.

The cluster not lighting up regularly as you describe is a fault, not a glitch, and you should get it fixed by your dealer instead of messing with the fuses. As for the AC, well that is a glitch.

I think both are software glitches. They don't look like electronic faults to me since both happen only on start and only sometimes. My G already has all software updates installed. Someday I'll drive to the dealer, but only when I have reasons to believe that there is an update for those problems.

Cluster glitch always happens even before cranking up - turn key and instead of the typical all lights welcome flash I get nothing. Since locking and waiting for a while resolves the issue, I think turning the key off and resetting the cluster power has a good chance of resolving the issue much faster. I've installed the switch and now just need to wait for the issue to happen again. If I cut power while G is on it does throw warnings of course, but those clear up after ignition off/on. In any case I'm going to reset power only with ignition off.

AC is a lot more rare for me and less concerning. There is a ritual with climate handles which supposedly resolves it, but I never bothered to repeat it and just turned the fan off completely. People also say it happens if you insert the key and start the engine to fast, better wait for a couple of seconds before cranking up. I'm trying to follow this and so far so good. If this happens again I will try to pull HVAC fuses with the engine off one by one to see if this helps.

Your cluster glitch is not common and unusual, your AC issue is very common and very well documented on this forum.

I have run the cooling system bleeding routine a few times and never use Auto or fan level 4, for me the HVAC system is tickety boo summer or winter (but no snow and low humidity 'round these parts).
