Hi all, I'm the owner in that thread. I usually use Reddit because this site isn't very disability friendly and the ads are so intrusive. Made an account to give an update here.
Yes, 4" lift from Owl. Was sold to me already on the vehicle by the Ineos dealer in Seattle. It was a used vehicle, about 3200 miles when I bought it and I was a little past mile 7,000 when this happened. Have been on a road trip to Dallas for the past few days.
Went to the tow yard today and got photos for insurance fire claim; found the drive shaft busted open which confirmed a lot of what I'd been being told in threads today.
All the wiring under the carriage is completely toasted so it's not a pure mechanical repair. No clue how much fire and water got into the cases either as FD had to use the hoses.
The flames were surprisingly significant for this kind of failure. Dash cam I have only covers front/back, not sides, but you can see the reflections of the flames around the passenger side door in the windshield glass. Glad I had a Halotron extinguisher with me to get it subdued before it spread farther until FD showed up.
