My dealer conveniently had engine covers in whilst I had my car serviced.
My software version is SW 000 000 0771 00 1080 for a MY24 Diesel Grenadier delivered Jan 2025.
From what I've been told there may be 2 different software versions because of hardware changes in the later models, so the early MY23's prefix may be different to the later 24 models, this is one reason the back up camera cannot be changed to the larger MY24 size because the hardware (screen) is not compatible .
Was the engine cover the reason for this fire?
Not sure the screen is the difference, it’s a display that shows the data it is sent. I would think it’s more Ineos not willing to invest the required money improving all functions of the old software and focusing their development funds on the new ongoing software.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. The reverse display on the 23 model is just a windows screen overlay. All they need to do is enlarge that overlay bigger like you do on a windows screen.
I do not know, but that blue car I saw burnt at the firewall in the Victorian High Country may have been. The fire seems to have been located right at the spot they are upgrading the heat shielding.
