5 Year Trip in a Grenadier Across the World towing a Patriot X3 Which We Live In.

You obviously have never watched the few videos we've posted.
Send me the links and I'll put them on the to be watched list. Currently the Flotus Flop is ahead of you 😄

This was given to us by Tony, the manager of The Grenadier Pub, when we set off from London back in July 2023. Somehow it survived the trailer fire we had! 🤯 🔥 The title seems rather appropriate for our journey…

Proper scary stuff - what sort of animal? I presume it got flicked up into the windscreen?
They didn’t give me specifics but it was clearly fairly big to do the damage it has done. It’s pitch black outside villages. There’s no fences and there’s a lot of animals. The Mongolians can be a bit wild on (and off) the roads too. Put all that together and it’s not actually that surprising that this is quite common out there…

I just stumbled across the videos on YouTube and figured there had to be a thread here.
VERY well done. Bravo!

I thought some of you may like to know what modifications we've done to our Grenadier and why. Brief explanations are in that link. If you have any questions or would like more detail, please let me know, and I'll do my best to answer. Some of these aren't issues for the newer models.

I'll put more up as time goes on. (y)

Specific to UK model. Many others already have this support bracket

We saw these in Mongolia and thought they were great, but it would still require a mount to be made for what we were looking for

This mount allows us to use the magnetic feet, it's subtle and hard to see from the roadside and easy enough to get off but hard if you don't have any tools.

We used the DTP above the passenger door. On / Off from EXT3. Works a treat.
