What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I have been a bit wary of the exposed 12v at the winch circuit breaker adjacent to the jump start post under the bonnet. To easy to drop something onto.🤨

So I designed and printed some protection.

Came up ok and isolates all the hot 12v parts.

This is the last prototype and will print the final version in ASA and probably in black.

Nice! Will you post up the final file?

Steve

Red still seems appropriate (and in keeping with the cover of the adjacent 12 volt post), considering the risk…

Now _that_'s what I call useful!! There are more (and possibly dangerous) exposed live metal parts around the starter motor etc.

As far as I understand, if you short such an (unfused) high current live part to the body, the pyro braker at the battery terminal will blow, "protecting" you but leaving you stranded.

I have the same lights, mounted on the Leitner rack. Like the dual color option & dimming function.
This convinced me to free up the grab handles and mount the lights directly to the bottom of the Leitner rack with some Amazon L-brackets. Rear light bolt barely clears the roof, but so much more practical. Thanks for the idea!

Cleaned out the ends of the gutters again. If you live in a maritime/salty/rainy climate it's worth checking now and again.

Cleaned the sunroof channel/lips and checked the drains

Noted 3 bad "quality"door seals. Will get them replaced under warranty.

I assume this is the gutter ends on the roof that is accumulating debris? I park under trees and my roof and gutters are full of junk. How do i remove the end cap to clean it all out?

Each rubber cap has a torx sctew underneath. The rear cap you just peel back enough to clean the debris. Front ones come right off. Though if you have the RAI it's a bit of a twist.

I can take off the RAI. I have both the regular RAI and the cyclone version for it. i use the cyclone when in the desert. i'm fairly used to taking it off.

thanks for the tip! much appreciated!
