What did you do with your Grenadier today?

About two months ago I installed overhead MOLLE panels with L-Tracks in the cargo compartment above the side windows. I've been using mostly ordinary MOLLE pouches on the panels and they've proven to be very useful extra storage and the panels performed well on our off-road trip out west to Death Valley and Moab. I didn't have optimal size MOLLE pouches for this location so I sewed a few which should be more useful than the pouches I was using and I think they're better looking. I've done two sizes so far to see which size is most useful.

Got the Leitner 3/4 rack and their Starlink mini mount on. Amazing quality.

Casually looking for a flooring panel to cover the gap caused by the Starlink being recessed between two load bars at fixed width. FYI if anyone does the same, it will need mounting points at 14 or 16” OC wide. roughly 40” long.

Which side lights are those on your grab handles?

Are you happy with them? And where did that mount come from?

They are great. Like Scotsman said, the dual color and dimming are great options to have.

FYI shipping is a little high from Stedi UK, order them all at once and will be cheaper. There will be duties due to DHL once they hit the states. I think they ended up being ~$120-130 all in after everything

These are fantastic-looking. Thanks for sharing. I think I will order, but shoot the mount bolts & washers with a bit of black paint. These almost look like OEM parts.
all black would look great. I hit the plastic orange accents with satin black paint, may eventually do the same with mounting hardware.

They are fitted with DTP connectors, so you’ll need to splice in a DT connector to mate with the roof outlets.

I eventually got smart and just clipped the light wire and replaced with a male DT so I didn’t have multiple DTP/DT connectors in the same run.

I have the two-tone from ABNTR4x4 as a plug&play set with mounts, Deutsch plugs and wiring. https://shop.abenteuer4x4.com/stedi...plug-play-seitenlicht-set-ineos-1-323-lm.html For camping, warm white only might do: https://shop.abenteuer4x4.com/stedi...lay-lichtleisten-set-fuer-ineos-1-400-lm.html On the pictures, there is cold white on the left and warm white on the right.
Will these fit around the grab handle with the electric connection? Or must they go on the empty handle?

At least with the mounts I used, there wasn’t space laterally (front to rear of car) on the grab handle to mount them above the electrical plug box, tolerances are tight top to bottom and front to back in that section.

Total front to rear for the work light with the grab bar mounts is likely 9-9.25”, and the height of the electrical box might impede the light/wiring unless you pulled it way out from the body and/or printed a shorter box (which someone recently did). It might be possible with a really thin mounting system and some garage engineering.

Alternatively you could mount them to the rack if you have one up out of the way, or even the drip tray if you want to keep grab handle real estate.

Installed these today. Anyone who says it's an easy install is lying.
😂Glad to hear it. Mine are en route.

I’d like to keep that handle open if possible. I’m looking at different mounts now and hopefully I can find some that will allow mounting directly above the electric box on the same half of the handle, while still allowing a little tilt. Those dimming and adjustable Stedi lights look the bee’s knees, so I’ll likely go that route. I have the OEM Rhino factory rails. I looked at brackets for the lights to mount under the end of the rail, but I think there’s not enough real estate there and I’d like to keep the lights tight to the car.

I tracked Winston to a wharf warehouse in Auckland, not sure what the heck he's doing there, he should be in a ship still and en-route to Dunedin. Good old air tags, excellent trackers. Will make some enquiries tomorrow...
