What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Took a chance on the interior.
Added rear wing...stops the waterfall when opening the rear doors.

Drove a short 5 miles of the Switzerland trail in boulder county (Boulder, Colorado, USA) from sugarloaf road to the town of sunset with Darling the dog... Just a relaxing drive in the mountains to decompress and relax.

Continued with the electrical build in my Grenadier.

Installed another power distribution box for the auxiliary battery. This will supply power to the inverter, fridge, air compressor as well as receiving the input from the solar panels.

Haha - Just noticed in photo I have two supply line crossed over 🤔😱

Next project is to mount the ARB twin compressor. Jury is out as to where to mount it. Ideally I'm looking at mounting under the vehicle with remote intakes but finding a suitable location is proving difficult.

I like the install location where the invertor was to sit (LH Rear), but I'm put off by having to purchase the different side panel. Am mucking around with design concepts to see if I can 3D print a cover to cut into the side panel to allow for the additional room of the compressor and improve airflow for cooling so it may still be doable. However I will most likely go for installing under the passenger seat as this would be an easy solution.

What busbar are you using? Bottom of picture.

Looks good. Am I understanding this right ? now you just have to make sure the solar keeps up with auxiliary loads connected to the second battery, as the smart pass may pulse charge the main battery down to 50%charge then your auxiliary loads may drain it farther down. If you still have drain from the main battery from the standard Ineos wiring auxiliary loads this could drain the main battery also. Maybe I’ve missed something in your wiring setup.

Its a work in progress. Historically I used Cole Hersee solenoids to separate main and aux batteries so dealing with the Smartpass, and DC-DC / MTTP chargers is a new world for me.

When I'm bush i generally have very little loads from the batteries, and I'm normally mobile and don't park up for long in any one spot. I plan on monitoring the batteries behaviors with the solar input + fridge and then adjust as required.

Thanks for the explanation Do you keep a jump starter such as a Nocoboost on board just I case ?

100% Ive got a GBX75 that lives in the vehicle.

A part of me wants to whack a Cole Hersee in between the smartpass and Aux batt time will tell. (to be sure, to be sure )

It was yesterday, but please don't blame me ;) .
And I noticed something that I wasn't aware of!

I bought some weeks ago two sand recovery boards, because I pretend to got to Morocco in October. Probably I will "hide" them inside the car, as I will probably do also with with my hi-lift. I don't like to show my tools while travelling, this attracts thieves.
But I tried to mount them on the roof with straps, and this works very well! They fit exactly on the plastic roof strips (or how should I call these?) without rubbing on the roof itself! Easy to remove, but it takes some time to install them.

But what I noticed, without having been aware of it previously, the location of the roof 12V power points is different on the right side of the car compared to the left side . The left two connectors are located in the front part of the grab handles, while the right hand connectors are located in the back part of the grab handles. Asymmetrical position, but not a bad idea!
