What an I missing... or is Ineos missing something???

I find the variability in quality super surpising. the only three things i've had to do in the past 14 months of ownership is a top up of refrigerant so the AC runs well. center the steering wheel (it was just a touch off center and my OCD self couldn't deal with it) and have the sticky door locks fixed. Other than that its just like my other cars.

turning radius isn't super bothersome to me. I have really been enjoying mine.

I like my dealer. I would recommend RDS for sales and purchase. They have quite few "low volume" marques and seem to be accustom to low volume manufacturer wackiness. Good people to deal with so far. I'll be buying my next Bugatti from them, for sure.

I believe Ineos did a remarkable job in building and bringing us the Grenadier. Great for a first go of it. Very unrealistic to expect it all to be perfect and they seem to listen and change what they can (if feasible). If not, well the aftermarket is bringing out solutions to certain issues they have not addressed and some that we never thought of (storage molle panels).

They should have gotten an award for the "cockpit" design.

If "analyze differently" is a way of saying the opinions you present as solid fact are based on little to no data, observation or even using the search button here, then I'll just take your word on how well you believe it's served you, but as for how well others are served by their observations, considering what I'm reading, I'm going to question the reliability of that last statement. All and all I think my tongue in cheek suggestion you live in your head may be more accurate than I initially supposed.

There are a bunch on the used market (but maybe people have the same impression as you have had ).

People say that its because its a new car but sounds like, per you original post, they have made over 20k units...thats plenty to have figured out the "big" issues. Personally (FYI, not an owner) that is letting them off too easy).

It’s both the coolest vehicle I’ve ever owned and absolutely obnoxious at the same time. ADAS, AC problems, sat radio not playing automatically, etc. but there’s nothing like it on the road and the attention whore in me loves all the attention I get.

I have driven to family 900 miles away, also on beaches and "grades", brought manure home for my garden and driven it to an evening concert while wearing a tux. It really works for every use I have. To achieve that in one car is a wonder. Yes, locking differentials reduce the fuel economy on highway trips and yes the Missus has a challenging climb when she is wearing a long formal dress and yes the leather seats seem out of place in national parks. But it is only one car and it has to do everything. And it does so.

Max spec with optional accessories is about half that. And in your link, it is very clear this is the LeTech collaboration on portals - as I suggested in my first response. It’s really cool and I’m excited to see it - but it’s the LeTech certified mod, not a “factory Gren.”

I don't care if it was a chevy mod. It was a new vehicle, It had an ineos sticker, on an ineos dealer lot, with an ineos salesman trying to sell it to me, that i can now order if i want on the ineos website just like i ordered my "real" gren. My Mercedes S-500 had some extra "mods" but i ordered it at mercedes, paid mercedes and picked it up at mercedes, its a mercedes. My AEV wrangler as well. Interesting argument that your failing to make since an actual Gren is almost completely "mods" from the tires to the roof it's all just parts from other manufacturers that ineos did not make or originate except for maybe the sheet metal... and the roof. Additionally a lot of the add on options we all checked the box on when our grens were made were actually dealer installed... so is every Gren not a Gren since it was a mod after it came out of the factory. But if it was bolted on in the factory is it not a mod?... Is it just in the factory or can it be on the factory property... or maybe anywhere in france? using your own words and logic none of our vehicles are as you said "a “factory Gren.”"

This is not a factory Grenadier - this is a LeTech certified Grenadier and Ineos is honoring the warranty because it’s a certified build - like Alpina with Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG. This is not at all like dealer accessories or the Ineos supply chain. I don’t think there’s anything confusing about this.

This isn't accurate at all. While the brakes are brembo, the seats are Recaro, the springs are eibach, the axles are Carraro, etc. None of them are simply off the shelf components. Every auto manufacturer has parts built by other companies. That's literally the car industry. Ineos just sed names that are easily marketable and recognizable.

Toyota uses Bilstein dampers on their TRD Sport and Off Road models, but they aren't generic Bilstein shocks that were sitting on a shelf, they are purposely designed for the vehicle.

There's nothing "modified" or "mods" about it.
