Third party sealed snorkels for the IG and QM

And those wing top plates look really smart too.

No prices yet.
Just seems like 99 little crevices that will gather mud, dirt, and dust and be a pain to clean. My sliders have little circles to add grippiness on the footsteps and that's exactly what they do.

and 10mm sockets!

emu wing told me in writing they werent going to make rear window, and they do. Maybe it with gren x getting 5x typical safari prices, they may see a demand.

A snorkel would involve much more R&D than a gullwing. I know how much GrenX spent on sealed snorkel R&D and it was not loose change.

Some others have also changed their minds. So try your charm on Safari.

Indeed. GrenX is also leveraging Canna Fabrication for sealed airbox / snorkel production which is great - they make great products in my opinion.

I'm only commenting there may be proof there's a market that will justify prices higher than safari normally charges, and the cost per unit of a production run may be worth it at the volume they initially rejected as unprofitable.

GrenX is a looking at increasing production to bring down the cost per unit. Rohan confirmed this last week, but it will take time and foreign agents will need to come online..

SEALED AIRBOXES
There is one airbox for petrol models and another for the diesel. They are not interchangeable.

AIR FILTERS - PAPER AND FOAM FOR DIFFERENT USES
Rohan confirmed the 8 ply "paper" filter is for most use cases, like on road and dusty conditions. "Paper" filters are often made of Cellulose.

The thinner foam filter is for on road use, where an owner wants performance. It is not suitable for dusty conditions.

PRE-FILTERS ON GRENX SNORKEL
UNIFILTER has two filters; first a "snorkel ram head cover" that goes over the head of the OEM RAI - Part No: PRECLEAN 67. That filter is available now and can be used on the OEM RAI or the GrenX OEM Style Sealed Snorkel.

Second, a filter that will be used on the GrenX OEM replacement snorkel. That filter kit is currently under development.

These pre-filters reduce, but do not eliminate, dust into the airbox.

DONALDSON FILTER HEAD
INEOS also offer a Donaldson filter head accessory to reduce dust into the OEM RAI.

Concerning the UNIFILTER PRECLEAN 67 - Mine just arrived from AUS:

You get 3 pre-filters in this package.

What is your take on quality and filtering capacity?

That type of filter scares me with visions of boy racers and K&N stickers.

Despite the package labelling it's a pre-filter, i.e. the foam sock over the RAI head. They come in proboscis red or over 50s black. Useful to keep some of the larger dust particles away from the actual air filter if you're doing extended driving in a dusty environment.

Hahaha. As a pre-filter ( really a sock per @Clark Kent’s post above )? I think this is acceptable ( maybe even preferred ). I’m not entirely comfortable with using oiled foam for the main air filter though.

I’m going with a Volant Donaldson PowerCore G2 pod filter in my sealed airbox / snorkel system.

That sock goes over the head of the RAI, it is no where near the airbox. It is designed to filter some of the fine dust before the air reaches the airbox.
