Ours will occasionally return a 0%, I don’t know if it’s my imagination but I suspect it occurs when I don’t give it a pause at ‘on’ before turning the engine over.I was traveling for over two weeks and tried to start my car last night and it fired right up but I got a ton of lights (picture) and I was going through menus my battery charge level was zero. Turned the car off waited 20 minutes and even before the start the gearbox warning was on but after I started it the battery charge level jumped to 83. Let it sit over night and just tried and all the lights are on but the charge level was 78.
After reading some posts do I just disconnect the battery and let sit for 15 minutes?
Thanks,
Christian
My next step in that case would be to connect a battery charger/conditioner. I have a NOCO Genius 10 which does a really good job.I have tried a bunch of combos from waiting over night to make sure the key is out of range and in a cage plus everything is turn off on start.
Most of the time the gear light comes on and stays on till the dash turns off.
Attempting to disconnect the battery and took the three screws off but not sure if I am just being to gentle on the box protecting the battery.
Searched the online tech manual - probably not looking in the right area.
Any suggestions? A link?
Thanks,
Christian
Obviously, the rodents have exquisite taste. So had to tow the car to the dealership. Not the cause that I expected as an animal decided to eat the wires which is perplexing because I have LR parked right next to it and never had an issue for the four years where I have lived; I guess the Grenadier is more appealing.
Can't wait for the bill to fix this...
Definitely don't out of pocket it, that's an insurance claim...Can't wait for the bill to fix this...
Think I’ve wheeled with you in the past. Do you have the same handle over on the D90 Source forum?I was close to doing the exact same thing after some "egging" on from some old ROAV buddies. ultimately decided against as I have stepped back from ROAV. it's a cliquish group that I never really cared to break into.
I’ll be at RAW again this coming year. Plan to tow the Defender again. Should be fun climbing the mountain to the resort.I saw your Grenadier and the flat bed trailer. Sorry to have missed the opportunity to chat with you!
The "base" springs seem to be green springs for the front, in which case the purple's are intended for 160kg more than the green. A winch, bumper/winch mount, and bull bar wouldn't quite add up to that, so with green's in the back you may have some reverse rake (or be level). If you aren't adding any weight, I'd scroll through this thread and compare spring colors for OEM winch equipped trucks.@anand While it is there I have price OEM springs to lower it back down. They recommended Purple in the front in case a winch and or bull bar is added but only said green for the rear. In a post you talk about going to black in the back and worried about rake. What would you recommend?
Also they claim I have a few drops leaking transfer case and want to put a new seal on it. Are they going to say it is from lifting the car thus not under warranty? I have asked 3 times and still haven’t gotten their answer.
