Club Event Third Monday - Ineos Grenadiers of DC, Maryland & Virginia

I was traveling for over two weeks and tried to start my car last night and it fired right up but I got a ton of lights (picture) and I was going through menus my battery charge level was zero. Turned the car off waited 20 minutes and even before the start the gearbox warning was on but after I started it the battery charge level jumped to 83. Let it sit over night and just tried and all the lights are on but the charge level was 78.

After reading some posts do I just disconnect the battery and let sit for 15 minutes?

Thanks,
Christian

Ours will occasionally return a 0%, I don’t know if it’s my imagination but I suspect it occurs when I don’t give it a pause at ‘on’ before turning the engine over.

Similarly we seem to occasionally get a TSA fault if the vehicle has been sitting for a bit or if I have the fridge turned up on startup (voltage drop?).

I believe the cool down is 6 minutes after key off and both of these exceptions resolve on next startup without disconnecting the battery.

If you are going to disconnect the battery, wait that 6-8 minutes per Owners Manual instructions, as to not do so is to risk the ‘Airbag Fault’ warning which takes a dealer visit to clear.

Shoutout to you all btw, Han and I hope your vehicles are going well and the group has grown a bit since we passed through!
