I guess if I screw up the install with the Supra shifter I already have, I’ll have a source for a replacement 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Thanks for posting the link.

Score thanks. I purchased this as a backup just in case.
Just purchased as well.

Q: The Supra shifter works as-is (plug and play) except for the fit of the console trim?
So, if we could get the guy making the replacement console trim to create a version with an opening that fits the Supra shifter, it would be a bone simple, one banana job?

It is adaptable by swapping the trim but changing the trim requires removing the handle and then reassembling. Getting to the shifter assembly requires taking the console apart which took me an hour and a half, installing the shifter took 30 minutes and reassembly took an hour (values expressed are an old guy using hand tools outside in 100 degree heat). I am quite sure this work could be done in a shop by a kid using electric tools in lhalf the time.

Conversely, swapping the handles takes <40 minutes working slowly and being deliberate. The "guy making the console trim" is Ineos or a contractor making ZF like parts. It seems unlikely IG or ZF would offer its bits individually. Just for fun I called two dealers looking for an IG ZF shifter. One did not call me back and the other called me back but cannot find one available nor provide a price, which is why I purchased a spare.

I meant this: https://grenadierusa.com/products/oversized-cupholder

I haven't been inside the console so I don't know if anything else would need to be changed, but; if the trim piece linked above were to be machined to fit the Supra shape instead of the Gren, would it be a matter of a couple bolts and a connector then to swap to the Supra?
Or are there bits under the surface that also prevent a plug and play swap?

This is a brilliant idea. But maybe it would require more disassembly than just pulling off the trim piece and then unbolting and swapping the shifters.
