I only noticed my rip when I was manipulating it. I think when in situ the only way you can be sure boot is ok is with a good ol' feel rather than just visual. Well then Ineos has a problem as the car should be build for these types of toadsWould the heavy corrugations encounted frequently on Australian out back roads excessively shorten CV life or boot life even at standard height?
Front shaftFront or rear shaft? Airbag in rear would be a tough denial of warranty if it was a front shaft.
Yeah, 10k miles seems to be the mark at which the boot fails.Just saw that my front driveshaft is on the fritz.
Mileage: 11,700
Lift: 1.5" Kings (for maybe 1,500 miles). Had it on the Eibach 2.5" for maybe 500 before swapping.
Shocks: Kings w/ adjusters
Failure: Boot ripped at the transfer case
I had no symptoms. Just saw it when I crawled under the vehicle after noticing a coolant leak. The suspension should have been installed with care given the shop is well known in my area and handles many Grenadiers. Had only taken it on a handful of offroading trips without any major obstacles. Rarely drive above 70 on the freeway.
No news on next steps, but I did buy a Terraflex joint. Im expecting the dealer to deny warranty.
