CV failures
Station Wagon:
2 Stock, 18,062 average miles at failure, 100% covered by warranty
1 Lifted , 18,000 average miles at failure, 0% covered by warranty
Quartermaster:
Stock - 0, 0 average miles at failure, % covered by warranty
Lifted -0, 0 average miles at failure, % covered by warranty
This first post will be updated with a running tally of failed front drive CV joints for information purposes for the good of the community. Please do not use this thread to discuss causes, ideas, replacements, Fosters, or which tire width is preferred. There are other threads for that. If I’m missing an important data, please let me know.
If YOU have a failure, please add a post on this thread with the following information:
Year, model, stock or lifted suspension (if lifted, how much, and approximate mileage lift was installed), mileage at initial failure, did warranty cover repairs, and type of driving (ie, 20% heavy off road, all road miles, etc.), and type of failure.
