I haven’t seen this in the forums so perhaps I’m an anomaly. I can’t get my driver’s side view mirror adjusted out enough to get a proper use of it. Currently, I’ve pushed the mirror out beyond the motor’s adjustment and have replaced the OEM glass with SUMA’s concave mirror. Even still, half of my side view is of the body. It makes the blind spot a b*#%! on the highway.

For the record, this was an issue before the SUMA mirrors. I can at least get a little more side-view with these new mirrors. I’m also 6’4 and drive with my seating position pretty far back. LHD in the US.

Anyone have this experience or a solution? I’m really hoping someone like Clear View eventually comes out with a product for us.

I had same problem. I just push the whole mirror body out further and mine has remained where I left it. Granted not great but worked for me.

Yep same for me. I'm not as tall as you but still can't adjust the mirror out as far as I'd like it to be. Not a problem I've ever had with other cars either I have to say.

In my experience, I can’t get the mirror to stay when I push the body of the mirror out. The retention spring pulls it back into the stock position.

I might try to create a shim to sandwich between the mirror housing and the door as a temporary solution. Although it sucks to have to do this with a new vehicle!

Interesting as I do not have that issue. My seating is on the right side with the chair back full distance and pumped a bit higher than typical (to reduce impact of right hand side lump). The leg position in the picture suggests a seating position that is closer to the wheel (or long legs!). Maybe that is a reason for the difference.

I wondered this as well! I do tend to lean more against the door while driving which doesn’t help. However, even when I truly center myself into my seat, it’s still 1/3-1/2 covered by the body. I’ve never experienced this in any other vehicle I’ve driven.

I think I have a theory — this is a RHD designed vehicle that was poorly adapted to LHD markets, OR I got mirrors for a RHD installed on my LHD vehicle.

To test this theory, I adjusted my passenger mirror all of the way out and hopped into the passenger seat. What do you know! A perfect view. If this was a RHD car I wouldn’t have this issue.

Does anyone happen to know if there are different parts numbers for side-view mirrors for LHD and RHD markets? I wonder if mine was installed with the wrong mirrors during production.

Both my mirrors are set to give me a good view of the ground and side of vehicle for reverse parking or just reversing.
From drivers seat it is so easy to see out the front and rear door windows that I just turn my head when changing lanes.
One of the great things about sitting so high.
The B pillar sits pretty much next to my head so it is easy to see out the drivers side rear door window and down to the ground.
