Hi all,
The forum has been good to me so I wanted to share this news in case it helps anyone else. I'm in California and we don't have the issues other folks do with weather, so as always your milage may vary. I took my truck in for it's one year cheackup, mosty to get the light turned off, and spoke to their service manager. I asked about problems they were seeing and they told me the #1 issue is leaks due to the old seals on doors and windows which have now been changed to a new material. They said 90% of the trucks over 40K miles have major leaks. It is repaired under warranty though. The suggestion was before the end of my warranty to say "it's leaking" just to get the new seals because it will leak at some point.

Let it be known. My seals are leaking 😂

The ones around the grab bar my right side (pass LHD) were replaced but that's it so far. Hopefully there aren't any leaks I'm unaware of!

So where does water collect, if we have unknown leaks?
I was noticing "water streaks" on the inside of the rear door windows so that's what tipped me off. I do not believe the amount of water entering the cabin was particularly but I didn't think much more beyond that.

Rain coming for Saturday so I'll do a thorough check. Planing to schedule the ADAS update, door handle recall, and annual service soon.

Did you decide to go back to RDS or give Freehold a shot?

With 2.3K miles, I noticed my rear door seals have 2" gaps under them where the glue should be holding this down. This is really the poorest quality control ever.

My supposition is a QC issue in Hambach.

Surfaces not correctly cleaned before sticking on the door seals.

I pulled the safari window seals off mine, held on with the barest amount of adhesive/sealant that would never prevent water ingress.

Rear reflectors, again plastics not wiped so the doubled sided tape didn't stick.

I brought that up at RDS, he said it was from the grab bar seals and they just replace the entire units. I'm picking mine up Saturday. Hopefully the HVAC, the leaks, and my front axle have been done to operable...

Yep - they replaced mine too (not sure if the whole unit or just the gaskets/seals.

Added to my service list.

They are just replacing units. I think it makes the man hours predictable, and spending money on parts, and not labor, I bet has write off advantages. They are replacing my entire front axle assembly as opposed to rebuilding it. I brought that up with them, that parts wise, that's a shit ton more than just replacing the locker, but Mike said that's how Ineos is handling these things. He also said they don't do just the seal, its the assembly.

Did you ask them to lose the axel and you find it. That way you can figure out the axel set up.

Ja ring removed on in my solar installation, I may just reseal these myself and pick what I use. This would be better than the factory parts.

Let’s see if I get any leaks with Saturday’s storm.
