I am in Chicago, I have no idea where I am…eastern or western. Seems like a no man’s land to me. The middle of damn no where! But I am here with a bad ass Ineos!
For what it's worth, on the PTO2 tour Chicago was East :ROFLMAO:

Moved from Prosper, TX to Boone, NC area.. dealer called me the same week I had closed on the sale of my house and said your vehicle will be in in 3-5 days.. though ineos website said much later. So that was a surprise and a mess. But worked out everything and should pick up my Grenadier within a week or two when I make it back to TX. The dealer was great.

Will be a great drive from Texas back to Boone! What a geographical change!

I bought that bus from a guy in California that literally found it rotting in the desert. I spent 10 years restoring and a hell of a lot of year welding.
This is what it looked like when I bought it. It was a literal piece of crap. It rose from the dead! Good to post that on Easter, makes sense! 👍

Wow. Beautiful!
It was 10 years of work. Mostly metal work. I had it media blasted when I got it and the front end literally fell off! It was a super scary restoration, but I pushed forward anyway! I didn’t use a lot of commons sense on this, I should have just bought another bus and tossed this one, but I had more stubborn in me than common sense.

I love my bus, but not as much as my Ineos
Hi SkiBum1, That is an amazing restoration. You can see she was in good hands. Just seeing your VW Bus brings back so many happy memories of cruising the coast in my
VW Bus searching for waves. I will say the Grenadier is giving me lots of happy new memories and smiles too, however my VW Bus was and will always be my first true love. DaBull

"People of a certain age" grew up with fond memories of VW Busses. What engine did you put in it? I remember the original one was about the size of a motorcycle engine. If a VW Bus pulled up next to you at a stop light you could tell without looking what it was. Brrp brrp brrp brrp.

I put in a 2100 stroker engine with a dual carb set up and a serpentine system. Certainly not the original 40hp! I also have an A1 exhaust/muffler so it sounds grumbly. It is about 140hp, but I wouldn’t call is speedy, it is still a square metal box on wheels! 😀
