Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to see how hard it is to run a dedicated Anderson vs this approach. If I ever wanted to use a rear winch that rear NATO would need the higher amps but that is not likely.

I had already ordered the NATO plug from Agile Off-road but don’t have a super duty soldering iron but do have the small torch. Will see how that goes.

If a rear winch is on your nice list for Christmas 2025I'd run in a dedicated Anderson circuit and call it a day.
The negative side of the NATO socket is an earth return. You only need to deal with the positive side. You could pick up power at the live (forward) side of the NATO relay. Either downgrade the entire circuit as I did or add your own inline fuse downstream. There's a suitable space in the right rear corner and it's accessible through the panel hatch.
I'd unplug the trailer to isolate the Redarc Manager 30 from winch spikes if that scenario arises.

I bought a truck with no tow package or hitch installed. I had them add the harness and the hitch. I had the electrical package with the NATO plug. I asked the dealer about those four wires and they did not know what i was talking about.

I can’t find them. I wonder if since i did not have tow package from factory they did not run those wires. I have not taken up the back where the module is. There is a small possibility that the dealer would have coiled them up there if they were part of the wiring harness they installed?

Anyone not have the tow package and try to do this? If i don’t have the wires then i. A just run wires back to the tow module.

Wires are taped to line that is running on rear side of passenger side rear seat, where aux battery area is.
Just left of the bar in pic, on floor, wrapped to a main harness run.

I used wire strippers and it pulled the cap off with the sheathing I was taking off

I have more wires in that Brake module and several are blue orange. I wonder if mine is working. And i don’t have to tap into it?

Can’t get that last black cap off. Looks like i have a dark blue orange and a light blue orange.

I have confirmed that this violet and orange wire is the one under the seat and i found a good spot to splice the violet/orange into the light blue/orange which is also the fourth wire just like the other people but a little unhappy that my other wires are different colors then yours but getting ready to take the leap of faith. Could not get 12V on my under seat wire when i pushed the brake so i am going to assume i have the same issue. Sort of annoyed that the dealer basically said they don’t install brake controllers.

Will finish this up over the weekend. Everything in place except this splice and the diode i had to order

Mine was like yours. No 12v when brake pressed. Added wire run from rear passenger harness and diode. I was a little confused with multiple similar wires. 12v light meter helped. Ran the one that lit when brake pressed.

Where you able to stick that in the harness or where did you test ? Currently that harness is open and i traced that fourth wire back in the harness to where i can get to it easier for jumping.

I have a lot of admiration for those of you who started this thread and traced all these wires.

Can you imagine if we had a manual? If you ask dealer have they ever been willing to print out the pin diagram of this connector? Did you guys just test each pin?

I was sort of nervous to just start piercing wire but i did that. My multimeter has some attachments that are very sharp. Glad i did. The blue orange wire i was going to tie into did not produce any current. I tried another and got 12.4 volts when i press brake pedal so i will tie into that one. I suppose you just tape over your pierced wires? Maybe i misunderstood putting small hole on wire but it made sense. Was thinking of finding something smaller like a sewing needle but i use the sharp multi tester.

Of course now i see that there is a tool for this. Argh.
