Can you lock the door and leave your dog in the car without a car alarm going off? Cracking windows down and opening roof panels for air flow? Not for a long time either, just running in the grocery or whatever.

Can anyone tell me if you can lock the Grenadier (and power down) without setting the alarm - Is it a case of using the key and not the key fob?

On a long ferry journey - hence the question.

Many thanks

There are a lot of threads on this subject on this forum. I asked IA and got the formal response that there is no such feature to disable the interior motion or tilt alarm. But the consensus on this forum, used by members is to just use the key 🔑 to lock it and that seems to work on ferries

There is a specific fuse to remove under the dashboard. Very simple, but you will need to search the forum to find which one.
@Jean Mercier ir @Logsplitter
are probably the ones to ask?

Thanks Eric, CRH,

To add to the confusion my nearest dealer has just told me that the Grenadier does not have perimetric or tilt sensing - so alarming on a ferry isnt an issue (apparently!). Can anyone verify this?

I set my alarm off by jacking up with a hilift jack whilst locked and alarm went off. 👍🏼

Never had an alarm go off with a (properly fed / watered / ventilated / supervised / happy) dog in the trunk. Also not with a person on the passenger seat, until they opened the door that is. Then the alarm went off.

Both cases with the normal key fob button lock.

I believe it does have a tilt alarm. In early days on this forum @DCPU jacked his vehicle up whilst locked and the alarm went off.

This is my experience too, takes it being jacked up to get the alarm going.
