Looks great. No rubbing?
Not a slightest bit.
I'd have gone with 255/85, but given the only manufacturer at present, I decided to stay with a more-common size.
My speedometer is now bang-on accurate, and odometer (which was bang-on accurate with stock tires) is now undercounting miles by ~4%.
My gas mileage went predictably down from ~13.9 to ~13.5 mpg (wallet-measured over >20kmi each).
I did notice a small decrease in acceleration - not enough to be concerned, and I take curves with more appreciation than I did before.

295/70r18 Recon Grapplers. This is an SL load tire weighing 54 pounds. Stock BFG was 51 pounds. Tire is about 34.2" tall and 11.6" wide. Installed yesterday. Stock suspension. No rub, but need to do a spare tire washer shim hack to get the small door to open. Very happy with these larger meats without the added weight cost. Next up is a rattle can paint job on the stock alloys. Going Bronze with a black lip.

Just put the washers on the spare tire spindle. These are 1/2” galvanized washers from HD. Three on the left, two on the bottom (note: studs are reversed threaded, so righty loosey). Just clears every so closely. These 295’s are big for their size.

Installed Firestone Destination MT2, 295/70r17
Measures 33.5” unmounted, rubbing occurred in the back right wheel well when turning left and accelerating due to the width. Very minor contact. Tucked the fender liner behind the mudflap, bolted down mudflap again and problem solved.
Installed 30mm Eibach lift shortly after tires were installed, tons of room now.
