Is a USED Ineos Grenadier better than a Toyota 70 Series?

Sad thing is, we aren't living in the 90's anymore. We are stuck with what our collective governments have given us.
If you are looking at it in a 90's view, which would you choose? Bearing in mind the Grenadier wouldn't have to have the regulated problems it has and could therefore be the easy fix mechanical vehicle we were promised. It then comes down to style, price, comfort and availability of vehicle and parts. If this were equal i would have the Grenadier, but that has years of technological advances in other areas.
The question is would you have a modern vehicle with the simplicity and ease of maintenance of the 90's or an old vehicle of the same simple maintenance?
Or are we talking investment values, that is a rabbit hole.

The 80 series from the 90's is actually more comfortable than the Grenadier, better seats, better steering and the 94+ models had better brakes and a fantastic HVAC .... and maybe even better sprung out of the factory.

I completely appreciate the love and admiration given to the Toyota. Legendary for its build and reliability, but aesthetically it doesn't move me the way a Land Rover Defender or Series does. Or for that matter, the Grenadier.

Agree!
