Installing additional phone charging points in fwd dash advice

Just picked up my Fieldmaster. I would like to add some phone charging points in the fwd dash. Has anybody done this and if so, could you share some info on how you did it. Thank you.

One of the misses on the Gren for me is the lack of USB ports on the center stack. I had seen lots of units let into the panel either side of the stack but think they may be a little vulnerable to knees etc. I decided to take a look at the tray in front of the shifter and this is the result. I bought the units from Amazon. I put this up on Facebook and was asked to detail the process, so here we go.
1. Remove the rubber mat from the tray, it just pops up
2. Remove 16 Allen head bolts from the 3 covers on the center console.
3. Remove the three covers, they are held by clips, the one on...

There are lots of examples on here. This is just one. Use the search function at top right and comb through the threads. Many have put them in the driver’s right knee area as well (LHD).

I just installed mine using a Lightforce oanel (RHD car), powered from the driver's side footwell wire ends. It is the Lightforce CBSW4TY2 fascia. The USB charging port for the panel is the CBUSBR (Ford Ranger version). I got this information from the Lightforce help desk. Lightforce does have a presence in Europe and the US.

Mine are very similar units, just a bit more rounded. Have not had any issues with knees, as they don't protrude much at all. I had them professionally installed since there is a 100% chance of me screwing up the electrical system.
