Hello my fine friends,

I was wondering if anyone has done any research or, better yet, found a good solution for a pistol mounting point in the Trialmaster. I have struggled with good solutions for years in almost all of my trucks and have never found anything that is truly excellent. I want it to be secure enough to remain in place in an accident, so a magnet will not work. Preference is not on the door as it is then exposed anytime I get in or out of the vehicle.

All thoughts are welcome.

Thanks, Rup

I have never secured a pistol to a vehicle. I usually use center console or holster. I like the idea of an under the seat safe but then it rather impossible to aquire it in a hurry. If you find a good way let us know.

I have thought about a Kydex type holster but the issue is where/how to mount it best. Screws are certainly an option, but a fallback position. Maybe super velcro. Still evaluating.

I personally prefer appendix carry on me, but I think a simple solution would be using a Safariland or G Code holster mount and doing some drilling. I've seen guys do that with other vehicles. Id probably just do a friction style kydex holster since the standoff from the mount might not be much if you're right handed.

That way you can get it out easier for a true and proper grip if you truly wanted to go that route and actually needed to use it in a rare occurrence.

Perhaps this:

I added a locking box with button and fingerprint open, it is stuck down with industrial Velcro but also has a cable that is attached to the rear seat frame. I had a cover made by Overland Gear Guy that attaches with Velcro. You hardly notice it is there. I can reach it pretty easily from the driver's seat. I also added a magnet to the front seat frame.. just in case.

Such a great idea man! Love to see this.

Been wondering this myself. In the Jeep I had a Safariland QLS set up attached to a molle panel under the seat. Was great to just be able to reach down and quickly draw. Unfortunately, the Ineos doesn't appear to have the right setup for attaching a molle panel below seat level. I was thinking about trying to 3d print something to clamp on the front bar of the under seat and protrude enough to clear the seat but not the adjustment bar. Def interested to hear more ideas.

There is no where to put a magnetic holder. I tried every spot. If your pistol is not ready in a snap, your dead. putting it in a "safe" will be the end of you. Only Dick Tracy can say "Hold Everything". The Grenadier lacks a real place to pack a pistol. The console is no place for a pistol, you need to grab it fast or you are the loser. I'm not willing to be car jacked.

Very sneaky sneaky. The rear one is all but invisible so well played.

We have the exact same problem here in Wisconsin. Out of nowhere, some psychotic rando will pop out of the bushes with a basket of zucchini from their garden or to invite you to their kid’s piano recital. Stay safe out there, people.

Whoever offers me zucchini will not get a favorable response. :D
