I did engine oil and diffs myself at 3k. Will be doing oil again next weekend. All fluids from FCP euro and if you save / return the fluids you get credit towards your purchase. I still can't believe they do that.

I took a few photos as well just in case I need to prove it was actually done. They can always send the fluids out to Blackstone labs if they doubt their age and mileage.

Oil and filter $331.55 (requested that oil be filled to Offroad height / ie 8 quarts, only 7 quarts refilled) this price included a hazardous washer disposal fee of $1.65

Front Diff oil change $200.88

Transfer case oil change $ 193.31 this price included a hazardous washer disposal fee of $3.31

total parts $310.71
total labor $610.95

$400 to change the differential fluid is mind bending to me. It is <1 hour in labor and 5l / $$ in fluid. I am putting cast iron differential covers when I do mine and $400 almost covers the $600 cost of the AO units.

The transfer case is another 20 minutes while it is up in the air and $+ in fluid. Damn. I will do mine at 5k miles during my second oil change for $$ in fluid.

As someome vertically challenged with 4 rods and 16 screws in my back I did not enjoy accessing my oil filter housing but I did it and replaced the plastic BMW unit with a billet housing which will not deform or crack. I replaced the fill plug with a magnetic unit while I was under there.

You need a 32mm socket and 3/8 rachet to R/R the oil filter housing. <$10. The oil pan drain plug is a 17mm wrench or socket.

The most scandalous part about this (to me) is I expect the guy(s) doing the fluid service is making $25+/- per hour.

12k mile service at Ineos Arrowhead in Phoenix area = $949.85

A bit of advice is to not do the 12k service yourself. Ineos will not validate the fact I changed the fluids (including diffs) myself, and require the dealership to perform the full service to turn off the service reminder light. I have receipts from purchasing parts/fluids, but it can’t be “proven” that I completed the service. . So now we pay again…..

Total waste of money.

I had 250 two-part service invoices printed ahead of my first self performed service to document the installation of aftermarket parts and self service on my Trialmaster.

They did mention they were starting a mobile service that will be available. No indication of price though. Btw they replaced my windshield due to a crack (free in Florida). Between that and another new set of wiper blades, I drove back in rain, no more stutter!

I live just south of Jacksonville, Crown quoted me $400 for the mobile service. I am not sure what type of service can be done in a mobile setting. It does seem hight but it is cheaper than 8 hours of my time driving to the dealership and extra wear an tear on the Grenadier. I just think the Labor cost are crazy for such basic services I guess I am just showing my age!

I really wanted them to do the first service because I had the diff weeping noice start after my last trip off road. They said everything was fine but in my trip back from the dealer it actually sounded worse! I will call and ask them again what can be done.
