Pretty much given up on the Ineos dealer in Mackay even opening.

A related note...
The Toowoomba agent is Armstrong Auto Group. A local family operation that holds the dealerships for BMW, Nissan, Jeep, Suzuki, GWM and Ineos.
The business has just been sold to the Harvey Black group which trades as Black Truck and Ag. They are another local family business but are substantially bigger and in multiple locations across Queensland and New South Wales. They deal in Isuzu ute and trucks, RAM trucks, Iveco trucks, Mitsubishi vehicles and maybe a dozen or more agriculture equipment brands like Kubota, CanAm and Massey Ferguson.

For the former Armstrong operation Blacks have dropped the BMW dealership but retained the Ineos agency with a goal to grow it.

I have been following this thread and need to point out that I have had nothing but positive experiences with the lneos agent in Adelaide on Port Road.

I called in last week to book my Grenadier's first service as I have had it for 6mths and although it has only done just over 12,000km figured it was better to have the first service a bit early rather than late. (plus it has been giving me annoying nag messages about an upcoming service requirement.).
No problem...was asked if Monday was fine so I took it in today and although I hadn't requested one, I was given a demo Trialmaster as a loan car. Took my car in first thing in the morning and they texted me at lunchtime that it was ready to be picked up. Easy!

I have previously had them replace/rewire the Ineos trailer plug with a flat 12pin connector so it was compatible with what I tow. Very happy with the work.

Just for context, I previously took my Landrover Defender to the local Jayco agent to change my 7 pin trailer connection to a 12 pin connector so I could utilise the wireless Witi trailer system and brake controller in my camper trailer and they unilaterally decided to not connect the one pin that the Witi system required! ( I specifically went to the Jayco agent rather than the local auto electrician or my Landrover mechanic because Jayco were the local agent/distributor for the Witi wireless system and I wrongly figured they would know what they were doing!!)

More recently I had the Ineos agency install a CTEK D250SE DC/DC charger with the existing Smartpass and wire in at the rear of my vehicle a solar input Anderson plug and a second Anderson plug for powering the camper trailer, etc. I provided the CTEK D250SE, mounting bracket and the 2 Anderson plugs and once again I was happy with their installation and wiring.

I haven't had any warranty issues to deal with yet but asked them to check the brakes as they initially seemed softer than what I was used to in my other vehicle.

Although I live on the other side of town the Port Road location is an easy 30 min drive and less than a 5min walk to a train station. When I originally picked up the car in February, I caught the train there.

I have found the various people I have interacted with at the current Ineos agency in Adelaide to be efficient, friendly, responsive and knowledgeable.

So, got my car back from warranty work last week. Zero confidence in anything...

Just a minor issue, the rear cargo door seal had come away so it apparently got a new one. Went to start loading my cargo area up again today and it fell off, it was the same old seal, dust from 9 months ago still attached, just had the end cut off to allow for the stretch it's suffered over the past year and poorly glued in place.

Needless to say, I have no confidence in any of the other warranty work that's a bit more significant, engine main seal, front diff pinion seal, RR shock, HVAC system etc.

Anyone in SA reading this forum looking to buy a Grenadier, DON'T!

I Had my Grenadier serviced by American Motors, AM group Adelaide on 3/2/2025, third of February 2025 for Americans, my Grenadier was the first Grenadier they had serviced, and they spent quite a bit of the day working on it.
They charged $969.80 including GST, for the service, and in that service they changed engine, diffs, and transfer case oils, oil filter and fuel filter, and replaced the climate filter, and did software updates, they also did all the normal checks including brake measurement's etc.
I am very happy with their service, and would recommend them, and they supplied a free loan vehicle.

Almost forgot, they blew the dust out of the air cleaner, and washed the outside of the car and vacuumed the inside.

I just thought I would post this again, my experience with Adelaide's AM group has been excellent and they also recently replaced my front door seals under warrantee and did an excellent job.
Paul Miltz and I regularly talk, and we clearly have had very different experiences.
I don't think it would be possible for AM group to be any more helpful than they have been to me in my case.

Recently had 45K service in Orange, NSW. $1,300 and two days given the number of recalls. Had Quartermaster as loan vehicle which was nice to try. Very impressed overall with Joe and Central West Prestige and disappointed they are not continuing.
Orange will close at the end of August. Nearest currently is Dubbo 2 hours away...hopefully still available when the 60K service comes around.

I live 3+ hours away from the nearest dealers and due to changes in circumstances I am unable to get my Grenadier to them for servicing.

A week ago I stopped in at a local Landrover service specialist 10 minutes from home down a dirt road.
He has a modern workshop with a lift and all the gear and is just a really pleasant and confidence inspiring guy.

He had seen me drive past a few times but hadn't seen a Grenadier up close.
He put it up on the lift, climbed all over it and then we went for a drive.
He absolutely loved it.

Only negatives he picked out was lack of bash plates underneath and a few vulnerable cables and hoses.

He has agreed to do my 45K service on an hourly rate, not fixed price, as first time and no idea how long it will take.
He strikes me as an honest man and I am usually a good judge of character.

Jordon at Ignition in Brisbane is sending up the parts and I am sourcing the oil.
He still won't be able to reset the service warning, but I can live with that, I have to go to Brisbane in 2-3 months so I will organise to drop into Ignition.

I will let you know how it goes as there are a few owners in the Hervey Bay area now.

Parts cost me $514, oil cost me $89.25 Total $603.25. Mechanic charged me $750. So $1,353.25 total. Dealer quote was $1,240 total so it cost me $113.25 extra to get the job done by Landrover mechanic.
