I will say that while looking all around the Ineos website, I think the default setting for communications shut off emails and other points of contact. I turned them on. We’ll see if that helps.

Maybe it is good that Ineos is depending on low-tech/Carplay for the vehicle. IT doesn’t seem to be their strength…

So far, most of it seems to have been outsourced.

Bringing it in-house, which from some of the job adverts I've seen, is in progress, can only be an opportunity for them to up their game. 🤞

I often thought that my "Linux only" policy would often cause troubles. Therefore I made my first Ineos payment with a virtualbox Windows 7 machine (which I maintain for customer matters) and switched off everything which protects me from the web, from tracking and advertising. It worked.

When I made my second order, I simply tried pure Linux with all the protection still active and it worked as well - like a charm.

After all the postings here it seems to me that in particular apple computers cause way more trouble than my Linux machine.

Let’s be clear. The website should work with the second most popular OS in use… that isn’t a MAC problem…

I GOT IN- HERE'S THE HACK

OK, when I follow the link to the event page, and click on register, there is some dudes info in there. If I enter all my info, I get bounced for bad email. If I KEEP HIS EMAIL ADDRESS, and enter the rest. I get past the email error. On the next page there is a confirmation and there you can change the email to your actual email. And that worked. I was on a PC with whatever they call their browser- though this is the only way I tried it, hopefully it works other wise.

I was sent the confirmation email. It seems to say 8:00? Don't know if this is when it opens? It also said that they would be sending me a ticket to attend the event- I assume the whole show, which would be nice.

I think it is a great decision that they have gone apple/android instead of their own system. My Mercedes is only 8 years old and they stopped supporting the navigation system 3 years ago. No updates available. No firmware upgrades or improvement.

I got a call from +44 ..what a surprise. He said that the reservations for the 5-7 thing are full up but he said he would try to send the request up the chain. No driving of vehicle but you can sit in it and inspect it, there will be others including one in North Carolina he thinks. Gave me a link to the US brochure US Spec he said plan on finalizing your US order in January 2023 and make down payment. Said that expect global BMW support I assume because of the engine and many other dealers as well. No dealers specified as of yet. No diesel for US.

Said he is 6ft2 and there is plenty of space for someone 6ft5.

and 18mpg for gas did not indicate if that was combined and 90L gas

The registration confirmation said that I would be getting more info, but I haven’t received anything else and I’ve checked my spam folder. I thought they implied that they would send tickets- and that was to the whole show and the private event, but maybe not?

Any attend the Friday opening? Is the IG on display?

Last minute !!! if possible !

What's the latest on the front right passenger foot well space ?

There is a large passenger foot rest next to the engine tunnel - will production models be smaller ?

Enjoy your visit !

I'm going to try to answer some of your questions with voice to text forgive the formatting.

I'm now told that there will be options for two batteries One may be standard with an optional second one that is not yet confirmed but they are making space for two batteries.

If you select the winch does the Ineos get up rated springs or coils for the front axle? The answer is no it does not get upgraded suspension. that would be a concern on a short wheelbase vehicle like a Jeep but the longer wheelbase does not require additional suspension for the weight of the winch additionally the winch is under warranty and if you choose the winch and it will have a steel bumper .

They will have steel bumpers in the US. Prototype has plastic. All of your forward sensors still work even with a steel bumper unlike an aftermarket bumper on say it Tacoma that goes to steel from plastic you can't be sure your airbags are any other sensors are working. Toyota does not warranty that change.

The roof is pre-wired all around front back left right/

I've asked them to get information if there is a hot wire that goes to the trailer hitch harness to power cargo trailer lights or top off a battery from a winch on a car trailer they're getting back to me on that.

Static roof load meaning a tent up top and a couple people up there limit is 900 lb static. Dynamic is 300 lb, while underway they don't want you top heavy and tip the thing over with 900 lb up there so they limit you to 300 lb.

I was sitting in the seat I'm 6'5 and weigh about 260 right now there is maybe 6 in of space between my seat and the front of the back seat My seat meaning the driver seat when it's adjusted for myself. Snug for anyone behind me.

The passenger seat, Yes there is a hump from the exhaust I've got size 14 shoes it's uncomfortable for me over there but your normal passenger is probably a lot smaller than me so I wouldn't think it would be too big of a deal.

When are they going to have ride and drive vehicles in the US, I'm told they will have at least three here in the US in October. Their headquarters are outside of Raleigh, NC

Offset on 17-in steel wheels no one could give me an answer for that.

There is a seat height adjustment there's a picture included above it's a lever up and down. It reminds me of a Jetta or Passat seat pump the level and it moves you up and fwd and bit or down and back. Nothing on the seats will be elec4tric for movement.

Diamond plate fenders unsure whether or not the they will be installed by a dealer however the all the fenders except for perhaps one of the upper level trims will be braced you can stand on them with or without the diamond plate. But those upper trim levels that might not have the bracing but you can add the bracing. (dang should have asked weight limit on fenders) Did notice a rubber gasket around the hood.

Steel bumpers confirmed for the US and the sensors and the radars so you don't rear-end people and front and rear sensors all work with the steel bumper. They are also modular if you have an accident you can replace just a portion.

Regarding wheels and tires high up gentleman, head of North America, told me that there is someone in South Africa who ran 35s on it however he is not sure of the profile/width of the tire but was told that it did not have any issues. There is a divot carved out in the wheel well , see picture, to allow for larger tires.

Does fitment of the optional front winch have any performance impact on the radiator or turbo cooler. This is a fantastic answer The answer is NO it does not this is one of the only vehicles that was tested in a wind tunnel with the winch installed. . End of report
