EUROPE AND UK: Third Party Suppliers for the INEOS Grenadier and QM

@TheDocAUS. I keep a set of tyre pliers with me for long travels having had various tyre problems in the past. They are an easy way to break the bead and NATO listed. Sure you can break the bead using a hilift or actually driving over the tyre but the tyre pliers are easy to use and are very gentle on the bead. Some decent tyre levers are a good idea also for remote travel and readily available.
A tyre plug repair kit of which there are many is useful to keep on board along with pieces of old car tyre sidewall and inner tube for temporary side wall repair.

A pair of tyre levers are on my list. I have been very slow to get them.

For 5 years I carried a set of tyre rods. Shopping with two tyre carcass on the roof. Drove the northern Mediterranean coast. The southern Mediterranean coast, did the French Atlantic coast, did the Pyrenees up and down.

The one spare tyre proved to be enough. The rods never got used.

If you are in a convoy then yeah maybe one of the cars maybe should have some kit like this. Maybe.

Some times you can just get lucky. Another time your lucks out. Once in Namibia I had three punctures in a day inc split side wall.
Last year I had a huge screw in the tyre that i managed to repair and then another smaller puncture later in the day. I just like to be prepared. I d rather have and not use it than need it and not have it. All those years of being in the Cubs and Boy Scouts has taught me to be prepared.

Wow that’s interesting. Another manufacturer making auxiliary fuel tanks for the Grenadier and a 105L to boot.
With all these aftermarket suppliers coming onboard to supply kit for the Grenadier, it shows the great confidence they have in the brand. It’s certainly putting two fingers up to all the nay sayers 💪🏼

Now all that Ineos needs to do is to find a way to sell a few. August saw 15(!?) sold across the UK ( out of 85000+ ). They may end the year with fewer than 150 cars sold in the UK in 2025.

Other tha if you have signed up on their website, I see very little in the way of advertising. New brand needs to be advertised, like Jaecoo & BYD are constantly doing.

Well I’ve just got off the phone to my dealer and your figure of how many will be sold in a year in the U.K. will be beaten by one dealer alone. A big order from one company for Quartermasters and figures in their 10s already in the last couple of months for other commercial orders. Very positive news. Ineos are slowly gaining traction through the deep mire of nay sayers.

That's great news, the more industrial usage and buyers the more confidence it will give and a huge boost to the reputation as the real deal

The IG and QM are the first vehicles I can remember making headway into Toyota's most blind loyal supporters - Landcruiser owners in Australia. I never thought I would see the day.

In a little over 18 months I have gone from "what is that you are driving" or "is that a new Land Rover Defender", to most people knowing it is a Grenadier and asking me how it performs- including Toyota 70 series owners.

In my Nissan Patrol days, Toyota owners, would heap crap on the Patrol even though it was a good if not better than their Toyota's.

This is more positive news. Go Ineos 💪🏼
An excerpt from fleet news in the U.K. regarding sales.
In the seven months to July, Ineos has sold 517 cars, of which just 33 were true fleet, and 118 commercial vehicles. Globally, it will shortly deliver its 30,000th vehicle across 50 markets.

Many of the utility companies plus the likes of network rail had these as the mainstay of their fleets. Some still do.
Only a matter of time before they started to think about the Grenadier or Quartermaster.

In my past life building power lines we had the original 110 and 127 landrovers and we worked them real hard. We also had Reynolds Boughton 4x4s and Unimogs. By far the worst were Bedford CFE 4x4s and some Russian thing in a similar style on trial for while,Leyland Sherpa 4x4 and Vauxhall Brava 4x4. These were all crap and by far the best were the Landrovers. Hopefully Ineos can take over from all the Isuzu that the utility companies are using, which although not brilliant they are cheap.

It has looked like a lot of the industrial use and volunteers/rescue services were keeping old Defenders going as there was nothing as a genuine replacement. Hopefully the word is now out, I think it is around where I live, I saw 2 in the village when I was driving through in mine!

One of my mates is a procurement manager for one of the utility companies; recently Ineos Automotive have started romancing them again after a 2 year lull, so it is about time. Since the old Defender stopped being made, they have been destroying Japanese/Korean pickups, which become essentially valueless after a short lifetime of brutal work.

agree; these Jaeco (who even are they ?) seem to load up a few trucks with the same cars and seem to be driving them around the roads.
