What else can I say? All the ‘minor’ error messages that appeared sporadically, sometimes for longer, sometimes for shorter periods, and which I simply ignored, have disappeared since then. The volume control in the centre console is also working again (this also occurred sporadically, but always worked on the steering wheel).

A not entirely serious comparison: as in the movie TRON, it is probably the MCP (Master Control Program) that is enslaving the entire system.

All dealers do a battery test first before they change the battery. But none do this first. A software reset via their laptop. I had this done and it fixed the charging. Ask the dealer.

According to the employee of the automobile club who visited me several times to start the Grenadier, today's batteries are better than the huge blocks of the past, but they don't ‘like’ disturbances. This is the case with almost all new vehicles, so it's not a general Grenadier problem – according to the breakdown statistics. If, for example, a vehicle is parked for a long time – we're talking months – then it is essential to disconnect the battery. Unfortunately, some dealers don't always do this. Today's batteries are also very sensitive to deep discharges. Otherwise, he said that INEOS has installed a very good battery brand.

Many thanks. I am having to "live" with my battery problems as I cannot be without my work vehicle for weeks at a time but at some point I would like the battery to charge properly and last more than a day working from the vehicle. I am simply gathering information from anyone with some similar issues that might be useful if it is ever to be repaired. I understand that this might not solve my problem and it has been suggested by another member that calibration of the smart battery charging/monitoring system would probably fix it or is at least worth trying. I just need it doing/authorising somewhere with some experience or expertise and preferably without having to travel many miles and without leaving me without a work vehicle.

I continue to have battery performance problems with a normal value around 60% and charging current dropping off rapidly at this point (and obviously the ecall error appears just below this point if I have a day working from the grenadier opening doors often etc. Do you know what part/the name of the part that was replaced in the centre console? Many thanks

I had a similar problem following the last software update. I have a diesel Trialmaster, dual battery set-up and after the update, the state of charge would drop c. 25-30% overnight and triggered e-call warning. This happened immediately after my service and software update and my dealer reinstalled the software and it fixed the problem.

Agree with you. If they tested the battery and it’s not that then it’s the software. Had mine reset years ago because it would not charge properly and now I frequently get upto 80/90% SOC. Only issue now which I believe is normal is the drain from the interior lights when opening and closing doors whilst camping.

Just wish there was an old school on/off button which completely disables the interior lights.

The interior lights themselves are LED and minimal battery drain. The issue is opening and closing the doors wakes the the electronics and energises all sorts of relays and systems. There is a button on the overhead panel for disabling the light bulbs but not the system " hangers on".

I have had the ecall warning on the screen for a few weeks now. Got in this morning and it’s gone!

That’s twice it’s cleared itself, both times after several weeks.
