Diesel filter

Hi,

Do I need to follow any special precautions to replace the diesel filter, or is it enough to simply disconnect the two diesel lines and the electrical connector and then reconnect them?

I think you have it covered.
From the workshop manual:

Remove
1. Read and obey the Fuel Warnings. Refer To: Fuel Warnings
2. Disconnect the Battery. Refer To: Battery (Disconnect and Connect)
3. Lift the Vehicle on a Ramp. Refer To: Lift Vehicle On Ramp
4. Put an applicable container under the Fuel Filter to collect Fuel.
5. WARNING: Fuel vapour is explosive. During the procedure, fuel lines will be open. Make sure that there is suitable ventilation and use all necessary precautions to prevent risk of fire.
WARNING: Read and follow all fuel handling instructions before work is started on the fuel system. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately and discard any fuel contaminated materials safely.
WARNING: You must disconnect the battery ground cable before any work is started on the fuel system.
WARNING: Do not switch the ignition on until all of the work on the fuel system is complete. This will include when the area is cleared of fuel and fuel vapour contamination.
Disconnect the Electrical Connector from the Fuel Filter.
6. Disconnect the Fuel Filter Feed Line from the Fuel Filter.
7. Disconnect the Diesel Feed Line from the Fuel Filter.
8. Move the Chassis Harness aside.
9. Remove the three bolts that attach the Fuel Filter to the Chassis Frame.
10. WARNING: Discard of the Fuel Filter correctly.
Remove and discard the Fuel Filter.

Install
11. Install a new Fuel Filter.
12. Install and torque the three bolts that attach the Fuel Filter to the Chassis Frame to 8.0 Nm.
13. Move the Chassis Harness to its initial position.
14. Connect the Diesel Feed Line to the Fuel Filter.
15. Connect the Fuel Filter Feed Line to the Fuel Filter.
16. Connect the Electrical Connector to the Fuel Filter.
17. Remove the container from under the Fuel Filter.
18. Lower the Vehicle off the Ramp. Refer To: Lift Vehicle On Ramp
19. Connect the Battery. Refer To: Battery (Disconnect and Connect)
