CAR magazine interview with Lynn C

Interesting comment

"we need to get better at communicating to our customers and service partners"

I wonder how they could resolve that?
Maybe somebody will invent an electronic mail service one day? I think they might call it email, but only guessing.

I read Lynn Calder’s interview with interest, especially the comments about needing to “do a better job of communicating with customers” and feedback suggesting the vehicles are “unbreakable”.
Against that backdrop, I’m still waiting for a detailed reply to a query I sent INEOS about a month ago. I was told the points were being discussed internally, but I’ve had no update so far.
In the meantime, I’ve received marketing emails asking if I’m interested in buying another one.

I might be off my rocker but it sounds like when she speaks to communication with our Customer she doesn't actually mean well us, but rather marketing or getting the word out this vehicle is for sale...

Often times in business if you are selling to a reseller (dealer, big box store, distributor, etc…) the word “customer” can have a different meaning unless you are specifically targeting the “end consumer” they are often not the same thing.

The only communication that I would really like from Ineos at the moment is to be told where I can buy a handheld fault code reader that will plug into the Grenadier. Once I have that they can maintain radio silence as far as I am concerned.
My basic Bluetooth dongle to my phone works on the Grenadier.
It can read a whole range of sensors.
The only real error I have had was when one of the egr rods broke, it reset that code. It doesn't reset the service warning.

Thank You - I will give it a go - I have had that irritating orange engine icon for a week or so - it only normally lasts a few days - might be able to wipe it

If yours is a diesel it might be the same as what I had. The original pushrods on the EGR can crack and flash up a code.

Thanks will try basic self diagnostics - booked in for a service on Feb 3rd with Compass so will get them to check then if no joy earlier - having all my sticky locks replaced the as well. Funny things - all five of them stick when the weather is damp and the temperature is in the 40 to 50 F range. All work fine if the air is dry or if the temperature is below 40 or above 60 degrees. Working a treat now with the temperature at about 25.

they don't have enough capital to change washerblade suppliers so the stock units work, and shes talking about what kind of electric truck is going to be made.

My buttons are the same, it goes in later this month to have them replaced.

If you haven't had the door buttons already replaced then you probably haven't had the EGR pushrods done either.

Plugged in two different diagnostic tools in the workshop - old hard wired one and modern blue tooth one - both picked up the Vin number but would do no more. Net result of plugging them in is that I now have the nice little orange warning triangle with an exclamation mark in it on the bottom right hand corner of the display to keep the orange engine warning light company. Assuming neither go red I will wait for the service in a month to sort.
