8. XHQ Towing Kits converting the IG’s 13 pin Euro plug to an Australian style flat 7/12 pin plug. Look at packages 2 and 3. Package 3 is not offered for the 2 seater Utility Wagon (it seems my 2 seater was the only one every installed). XHQ use their own wiring loom in their kit. XHQ have verbally confirmed to me the 12 pin flat plug has all the 12 pins wired, not just the standard 7 pins (confirmed by phone on 9 Oct 2024).

Thank you...A very interesting comparison.
I've been "researching" these items extensively. Local retailers on e-bay have the same sourced items for between about A$28 -$45 free delivery. The more expensive eBay items often have Anderson-type connectors for the 12v input... In the worst case, that's up to $100 difference.

Plastic Mounts​

Dishymounts, Goriila Mounts, 4X4Lab and SATGEAR offer plastic mounts, but use different plastics. Most of the other mounts are steel, aluminum or alloy (or one of these with plastic).​

Lockable mounts​

Smart Touring Systems and Boss Alumium offer lockable brackets.​

Voltage up-converter​

Smart Touring Systems and SVNTY offer a voltage up-converter than can be installed inside their mounting bracket.​

Use a protective cover when mounted​

Polycarbonate is one of the strongest plastics to use as a cover for a Starlink Mini when mounted on your car or caravan. The cover can provide some protection from dust, stones, hail and road debris.​

​

Mobility​

The Sky-Lock magnetic bracket is very easy to move from vehicle to vehicle, as are most magnetic brackets (e.g. TLR Products, etc.)​

​

Colour choices​

The biggest color choices in mounting brackets come from Dishy Mounts (10 colours) and Sky-Lock (7 colours).​
