Australia: Battery drain problems

Mine is now always around 65%, and only charging 1-2A, is that normal? Even after long rides, it barely gets up to 70%.

Just for info and not in any way a complaint due to the now accepted design and alternator/emission requirements….
I drive from the near top of N Island to near bottom of S Island over three days each year and then back 8 weeks later. I’ve only ever seen 90% (and it didn’t stay like that for long ) SOC and pretty constant 1/2 amps charging status.
