I can't be this stupid, but I have surprised myself in the past.

I have this Baja Designs S8 40" Lightbar I purchased from Agile Offroad (
https://agileoffroad.com/product/ba...bar-kit-for-ineos-grenadier-by-agile-offroad/ ). Agile wires up the deutsch plug for easy plug and play with the side power ports and provides a mount for us with the Leitner ACS rack. However, the mount they provided does not fit over the front cross bar as you can see in the YouTube video.

I asked Agile and Julia got back to me and said "Please refer to our instructions below, as you will need the traklok nuts to run through the track of the roof rack itself."

That doesn't help me as the mount still wont slide over the front cross bar regardless of where I put traklok nuts.

Do any you you notice something that I am not seeing. Anyone with experience installing this? If this part actually should fit then I am about as smart as dirt as I'm not seeing it.

Thank in advance!

I’m sure you already tried sliding it in from the end? Only other suggestion is the obvious one…open up/bend the bracket opening slightly🤷🏻‍♂️

Definitely looks like the top section of the bracket that is supposed to sit on top of the bar has been bent too far. If you're not rushed for time i'd ask for a replacement - you could open it up/bend it but may risk damaging the finish.

Thank you for the reply @Jiman01 the instructions state that you don't need to remove the endcaps, but as you suggested I was thinking the same thing...that maybe magically if I slide from the end it will fit...so I removed as I was out of ideas...does not slide!

It's pretty heavy gauge powder coated steel, so does not bend easily. Should not have to bend stuff for a specifically made mount and if I did it still would not fit flush on the top and bottom of the crossbar as now it would be bent up/down at an angle.

Not rushed for time as lots of other stuff I need (want) to install that I have in the garage. This one is just supposed to be "plug n' play", so such a bummer it just didn't plug and play!

I think the issue so far is Agile Offroad said I need to instal traklok nuts and not getting the bracket doesn't fit the crossabar even with the video!

here's an image from the distractions that show the bracket wrapped around the front crossbar on the Leitner ACS rack.

I have it on mine. It took some encouragement, but popped over the rail and bolted it in with only the top rail bolts. It’s really solid. On mine I did have to cut the bottom rail trim piece that stops the wind whistle. After installing it, I was thinking I might have been able to pop it on without removing the trim. I was a bit lazy and didn’t want to remove the rack to install, but this worked for me.

Thank you @JKAlpine ... was definitely looking for someone who has installed so this is very helpful. Good to know it took some "encouragement". I don't want have to remove the rack, that bottom windguard is a pain to snap in with the rack in place on the roof!

I just measured the two light mounts Agile provides and they differ from each other by about 2mm and the narrower of the two is about 4mm narrower than the front crossbar on the rack. I'm not sure I can give it enough encouragement and would really suck to scrap the powder coat off the Leitner rack trying!

Is that a lightbar on a 3/4 rack with safari windows? If so, how does that go inside the cabin at night when the lightbar is on?

Agile Customer support to the rescue!

With clear measurements they could see the brackets were over bent and they are sending a replacement pair out today that they double checked fitment on. I'm happy they could confirm my reality and that I wasn't dumber than dirt!

I've been super happy with Agile Offroad and there follow-up service on any questions.

I'll post once the S8 is installed, but thanks for everyone here that chimed in, very helpful to get some additional opinions and helped with the resolution. I'm also curious @beefs how much light shines in through the safari windows. @JKAlpine ? Also, did you have to make any rack adjustment so the safari windows still open?
