I was told I am 24.1 and my vin is 17633. So there’s that. The cutoff is somewhere in the mid the 17000 VIN range (somewhere between 17300-17700)

Here's my take on this... The MY24.2+ update also includes a fix to a problem (the fuel level implausibility code that causes the CEL after getting fuel), where as MY24.1 has had that fix available for months, and the ADAS related stuff is just a convenience update. It would seem to me that it is important to prioritize fixing problems before annoyances. It's odd that the upgrade version that will take the least amount of time to apply is taking longer to release.
The part that makes a difference for this update (and previous ones) is that the infotainment/headunit has different hardware in the MY24.2 and newer (just like, from what I'm told MY24.1 has different hardware than all the various MY23 variants). There are a few other changes (like one of the transfer case shifter cables has heat shielding on the newer models), but nothing drastic.I am repeating myself here, but what exactly are the differences between the 24.1, 24.2, 24.3 builds etc. Far as I can tell no one has detailed the differences here on the forum. And how does one determine which build you have? My VIN is 10764 which is for sure 24.1, same as Dokatd who also has a low VIN. But for other owners with the higher VINs how do you actually determine which build you have?
I was hoping that was the case but it isn't. The "camera" light still comes on when you turn off the lane departure and the other ones come on when you turn off the other silly ADAS "features". Just the same, I'll take the HUGE win on making the ludicrous over speed clicking stay off.I was under impression that the dash lights wouldn't activate when ADAS was turned off permanently.![]()
No the ADAS functionality does not change at all, the only difference is that it remembers the setting you leave it in.I was under impression that the dash lights wouldn't activate when ADAS was turned off permanently.![]()
