Thread 'ESC TSA REDUCED BRAKING ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE FAULTS'
Hi I had the following faults all at once this evening which would not reset after three stops and restarting. ESC not available Vehicle stability reduced TSA Hydraulic brake malfunction Downhill Assist not available Uphill Assist not available Has anyone else had the same faults at same time? Possibly of wiring fault or software? Thanks
I've got some scratches on my steel wheels, nothing too serious but I'd like to touch them up before there is rust. Anyone done this and have a recommendation on paint? Left on my own, I would just grab a can of Krylon Satin Black and start spraying. I mean.. after washing the wheels and degrease them, etc..
For those who’ve swapped to Method wheels (or others whose wheel change brought along different size lug nuts) what did you replace your factory tire iron with? Stock steel wheel lug nuts are 22mm and the ones on my 706s are 19mm.
Just added some larger (and heavier) tires. Went from the Bridgestone 255/70-18 to the BFG KO3 275/70-18, also got the Eibach 2.5"/1.5" coils. One shop mounted and balanced, another did the coils and the alignment. The IG ran smooth during the Bridgestone miles (1650) but now has a vibration that becomes noticeable above 65+ mph, I mostly notice it in the steering wheel. I was thinking of having the tires/wheels road force balanced to see if that tames the vibration. What is your...
Thread 'Help identifying wheels'
Can anyone identify these wheels? This is a CA Tuned picture. Don’t find a email address for them so hoping someone can tell me what they are. Thanks in advance.
I am looking at the FHX1's in 20" and I was told they have have sold a bunch to IG owners. Both 20 and 22's on 33's. Has anyone here done that yet and have pics to share?
I found the video informative, but will be sticking to All Terrain tyres. View: https://youtu.be/U6nrYL-pTKQ
The manual states that the wheel lug nuts on my 18” steel wheels should be torqued to 118 ft lbs (160 Nm ). Mine are torqued to 130 ft lbs. Is that dangerously high, or within a safe range.
Not a big issue, but the steel wheels might look a bit more together if they didn’t have the plain steel studs and bolts in them. I guess there are wheel nut covers. Anyone use them on their steelies? Do they affect balance? If not, I was thinking of 3D printing some, that way if I lose them, I can make some for $0.50 or so. What is the bolt size and thread of the studs? I was thinking about a conformal cover for the nut part, that would be held on by a threading part on the stud...
I've seen some adverts for 16" sprinter wheels with the grenadier as a fit. Um, do 16's fit the Gren?
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULmH9ggm5Xo Being the spring kits don't drop the bump stops, I was wondering about this.
Thread '35’s No lift'
So I got around to installing my new tires today on a set of alloys I picked up from a forum member. @Guardian did me a solid and shipped them almost 1/2 way across Canada to the east coast. So I mounted a set of 35X11.5R17 LT Toyo Open Country AT3’s running 42 PSI Went for a drive out in the back of the farm down a few bush roads and back. No rubbing. Steering lock to lock no rubbing. Now this isn’t crazy tank trap type off-roading but for the farm roads and fields I’m in, all day today I...
Hey folks! Texas driver here! Looking to put wider tires on my grenny, Did it to an old defender I had and loved the look and function. Has anyone done this or have recommendations/ experience with this and the result?
Hi everyone. I have the standard BFG K02’s that come with the Trialmaster. What do you all typically run your tires pressure for on the road and aired down for Offroad? Thanks Jeff
I have 2500 miles on my IG with the stock Bridgestone All-Terrains. I was looking to upgrade to 285/75r17 KO3s. Looking to go to the local Discount Tire/Tire Discounter (I get them mixed up). Will they take ‘trade-ins’? What can I get for them do you think? I really don’t have a place to store them, and I’ve never sold anything on eBay or the other boards. Thoughts?
More than slightly OCD observation. Has anyone else noticed that 3 vent consecutive holes on the 17" steel wheel are slightly smaller diameter than the rest? That's "on purpose" correct?
Hi, how many km are there during your original equipment bfg at ko2? I got to 18,000 km but now in the wet they don't hold well anymore. Unfortunately it's not news that the bfg tires soon stop gripping well on wet surfaces but I was hoping for better given that the tread seems new. I would like to mount the cooper st-maxx like I had in the defender but I don't think they are available. Has anyone mounted them? Thanks
Hello Eveyrone, If I want to increase the tire size but keep the factory 17" steel wheels, what is the maximum tire size that I can go to? Kindly advise. Thank you. Mark
Hello new to the group and looking to see what everyone has done for aftermarket wheels. Looking to upgrade the steelies with something alittle more stylish and want to see options. post pics of your wheels and please include brand and size. TY
I just switched out the 255-70-18 KO2s that I got with my rig for 285/75-17 HD-Terrains on AO XT rims. Got rubber at Costco and had them swap the original TPMS into the new tires in same position. Worked well. The nonsense part, maybe; they said since they are E load range while originals were D so I needed to run higher pressures. I cannot find anything online to confirm this, everything I find says to run at the same 36psi I had before. Anyone think Costco is right?
