Thread 'APEX RPV + TPMS'
Has anyone install APEX valves on the standard 17" steel wheels and used the Agile TPMS brackets? I think this is the way I am going to go when I change out the tires. I need to measure the wheel to see if the regular or XL size is needed. Anyone else that has done this and has advice would be appreciated.
Thread 'Kahn 20’s'
What is the Forums thoughts on these wheels. Kahn guy tells me to run 305/20/50 and I’m looking at the Nitto Grappler. Thanks
Looking for someone w/ early Autel TPMS program unit / software, who can assist (paid) in manually programing Autel MX-sensors to OEM TPMS unit codes for a second set of wheels. I pulled the OEM TPMS unit codes using a Sept/24 purchased TW508WF but auto create is the only option available on my 508 to program the MX-sensors. I have the MX-sensors (actually two sets - don't ask) as well second set of wheels and tires. FWIW I'm heading to Moab 4/29-30 via Albuquerque and returning 5/5-6 via...
Being located in Texas you sort of get to experience every terrain on the trail. The issue I have had with the BFG K02 that came with mine is they sink like a brick in the loose sand surfaces here. Even aired way down they simply just don't perform. Issue - I live in downtown Austin so my rig has to fit inside my garage or it has to live out on the street. So I can't go taller and wider. Just wider I have several company vehicles that are done up for Automotive Trade Shows (that's the...
Was looking to put an under seat ARB twin compressor in. I see at least three versions? Owl, Agile and XSpec? I asked about the OWL version and was interested in the new brushless version, since it’s spec sheet is pretty impressive and its the newest hotness. OWL said that the brushless has issues with over heating? Is that true. Is it just moving so much air it gets hotter?
Is it possible to change the settings on the tyre pressure monitoring system so that when the tyres are deflated to suite the off-road conditions the warning sounds and lights do not warning keep coming on? In other words can the system be set so that the range of pressure is say min 1.2Bar to max 1.8Bar
I was driving down the road intermittently transmitting on 155MHz or so on a portable transceiver at 5 watts. First time doing this. I am troubleshooting something at work. While transmitting, I lost all sensors. Anyone seen this before? Has never happened before on anything else I have driven with TPMS.
For those of you that have Autel TPMS sensors on your Grenadier, can you confirm that you used their Metal Stem version and not the rubber stem variety?
Thread 'which Vossen wheels?'
So not here for opinions on why I shouldn’t do 20” wheels or benefits of smaller ones… why in general you wouldn’t do it. What I’d like to know is if you did have to do one, which wheels and what color. Mine is Scottish white like the pics but don’t have the red ladder frame. Leaning satin black but would like to get some helpful opinions Thanks in advanced
So I received this after asking if it is preprogramed. Yes, the TPMS sensor (part #APTPMS255) for your 2024 Ineos Grenadier is pre-programmed and designed as a direct replacement. Once installed and after your vehicle's ignition is turned on, the car will automatically recognize the sensor during a short drive (typically within 10–15 minutes or after driving a few miles). There’s no need for additional programming or special tools. I see thank you kindly from this site...
Thread '18" alloys and larger tires'
I just spent the last few days figuring out everything I needed to get larger tires on my Grennie without a lift. There is such little information out there for 18" wheels, I thought I'd share what I found. Knowing 285/75/17 size tires fit without rubbing, I needed to find what would be a similar size for 18" wheels. I used a tire size calculator to find 285/70/18 tires would be almost an exact size match. So I order up my Falken Wildpeak RT01s. They fit just fine and look amazing. Now...
Hi Gents, Anyone has experience with swapping the factory 265/70r17 with 255/75R17? I like the skinny tyres, but not sure how it will look like. Many thanks
Anyone getting a Tyre Sensor fail that won’t go away?
Anyone has ref for white steel wheels that don’t cost 400€/piece ? If possible in mainland europe. Alternatively, can I paint a black one, and in this case what type of paint should be used? Thanks a lot Laurent & Major B
Hello, does anyone know where and if I can even buy these tires anywhere in Europe? 255/80/17 BF Goodrich HD Terrain or Falken Wildpeak A/W4T - Younes Passion Auto Thanks
I'd like to get a set of 315/70/17 KO3s and I'm wondering if they'll fit using just the Shadowmarq front leveling kit which I believe is around a 1.3" lift. I'd prefer to keep my OEM suspension. I'm running 285/70/17 KO2s right now and have the Agile Overlander XTs which has a 32mm offset and there's plenty of clearance. I don't use mine on the trails so I'm not worried if it might rub off-road, this is a daily driver. I know I could go with 285/75/17, but I'd prefer to go with the 315s if...
Shopping around for tires can be tedious enough but anyone else run into the situation where the brand/model/size you want only comes with raised white lettering? I’m not a big fan of raised white lettering or reverse mounting tires to hide them but it got me wondering what others preferences are and why the white lettering tradition is so prevalent with many off-road tire brands?
I am currently looking for a set of steel rims to make a winter set of wheels. During my search for affordable rims I came across several sites that set the max tyre width on 7.5 rims at 235mm, which is way below what we have as standard mount. Or are A/T tyres different? Not sure what I am missing here. Example of source: https://www.grip500.co.uk/guide/tyre-size-and-rim-size-correlation-table
I've been looking around for what I'll do for snow this winter. I'll be heading to the mountains a lot more often- a few times a month. Almost all of it will be paved and plowed- bit not always. Part of the drive is paved pass at over 11,000 feet. There was wicked black ice from fog on it already recently. My current KO3s are triple peak rated, and in general snow last year around town they were fine. Really more worried about ice this time. Was looking into specialized winter tires...
Thread 'Steel Wheel 2nd set source?'
Looking to do some snow tires and I asked the dealer about new steel wheels so I can just mount and unmount them. They are on backorder. Are there better 3rd party options in steelies? Is the spec for them Bolt Pattern: 6x130 7.5Jx17 with an offset of ET55 Suggestions on brands? Probably going to use Discount Tire for the tires.
