Workshop Manuals available?

Ineos need to be able to contact the current owner in the event of safety recalls (different to service campaigns). The warranty is also transferable to a new owner. Jump on the website and use the chat to register yourself as the new owner. Once they have a profile set up for you then use the chat again to ask to be invited to register for access to the manuals.

I did! not long after purchasing the Grenny, and they have linked my details but couldnt add the email address, maybe they fixed the issue?
hope so!

There are enough members on the forum now, that if we collaborate somehow and copy/download/screenshot, whatever, a particular method of how to do particular I task, such as change a wheel bearing, then maybe we could put our own manual together 🤔

A flat file pdf or hard copy would be great. Even enough snippets of 'shared' content could be stacked and stapled into something useful over time. @Rok_Dr will have to retire to work on it full time 🙏

But that ignores that the system is live and VIN driven. Stuff like market and region differences, MYxx.x differences, diesel/petrol differences (with the different -51 or -76 transmission), potentially even pre-and post-service campaign differences. All that is curated in real time so the view presented to screen is specific and accurate for that VIN. For sure there is a bunch of stuff that will be common but I recall Justin Hocevar (MD IA Australia) talking about this issue in Brisbane a while back. He made a point about the complexity of selecting and only showing VIN-specific data to the end customer else that customer does something based on the wrong info. Never mind the technical accuracy. We're talking legal ramifications if IA push the wrong content and someone gets hurt because of it.

It will by consequence be data heavy and hardware intensive. I'll probably need to update my Celeron to a Pentium II

I am old enough to remember back in the day when someone like Haynes (?) or Max Ellery would take a vehicle apart and write a manual for it.

Mind you Toyota used to be pretty open about their workshop manuals anyway maybe that helped.

Toyota and Nissan where easy, just ordered the manuals through the parts counter.
