What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Temu special "everything" 6" drop tow hitch

Used Ext 2 switch, which runs passenger front exterior plug only (other 3 roof plugs are common to Exr3), wired lights in parallel to a DTP plug, drilled out light bases to accept t-slot bolts from underneath in the Leitner rails, mounted lights, plugged in, turned on switch. Voila’

My base mounts have a prior hole for extra bracing when they were on round bars-(HELLA recommends drilling the shell for the braces on rally cars, but the base brace is plenty). I used the extra bracing because it was already set up. I don’t know if just the Leitner bars would be enough off road . My HELLAS are cast aluminum shells and glass lenses so they weigh a ton. Something like an lp4 is way lighter.

Thanks Brnadtnm! I've got four to mount. This helps plenty.

I argue that lots of it doesn’t save lives. People become lazy or habituated to these nannies and it makes them unaware. Just watch how many people actually look around and use the mirrors and twist to back up. They don’t. They look at their center screen and keep going as long as it doesn’t beep at them. If you stray from your lane, the car fixes it for you. That leads us to become dependent on equipment that can fail, and causes us to fail ourselves. And everything gets so stupidly expensive. The biggest reason the Grenadier isn’t more of what we, the real consumer, actually want, is mostly because of all this garbage that’s mandated. The AC is weird - Give me some Freon and a slider that directly blends hot and cold. The car beeps when driving on back country roads- eliminate the lane wandering beep thing. No diesel in US. Annoying AdBlue everywhere else. UK gets plastic bumpers. No drivers side handle (according to local dealer for safety reasons). Aux lights need a stupid dance in the states. New Grenadiers give steering input. Etc.
All that aside - I love mine😊😊
Agreed. The was a recall in the states a few years back. Not sure the brand. The dashboard could lose power and go blank. Potential causing an accident.

How? The drivers should be looking though their windshield.

If anyone was looking for a low tech / cheap cup holder solution; a pool table cup holder insert and a Dremel works surprisingly well!

I placed a drink koozie around the original split cup holder to cover up the hole, a little rough and ready but not a bad prototype!
