What did you do with your Grenadier today?

240g .460 - ooof. what's the recoil like on that?

Hi Doc, why the 3rd cover? Presume changed first one due to recall but what was wrong with the 2nd one?
Not clear to me. The dealer said it had not been done, but they said it was done at the last service. In fact, I had to wait until the new engine cover came in before they could do the service. I just let them change it.

The old cover had no evidence of melting.

Over the last 2 weeks I have been testing out the Latech style ladder that Marty from Off Road Gear Guys has offered. I absolutely love the Latech style, for the Jerry can/storage option. Also styling, is to my liking. Marty acquired these late last year and has done a ton of work to make sure they had all mounting options and tie downs associated with trail needs.
The result.
A very, very well made, stainless steel, powder coated beast of a ladder.
Roughly 36 lbs, and so easy to install.
If you have a ladder already, reuse your grommets. Don’t have a ladder? Grommets included.
The top bolts are the biggest pain, but I think it’s solved with the mini ratchet from Amazon fit $9-$11. It’s a good addition to your toolbox, and I’ve suggestive for it to be included in the purchase, or a link from Amazon.
I also added RTV and an O ring to the top bolts as well for added protection against water intrusion.
Overall - 9 out of 10, solely because of the frustration the top bolts can cause to install.
The price! MUCH MUCH less than Latech… by a lot!

Not bad really with the full length slide and compensator, recoil is about the same as standard .45 auto. It produces the same power as a full load .44 mag. Fun for stalking whitetail in cattail sloughs here on the farm where shots are generally less than 5 meters. Mostly it sits in my nightstand C&L. I also added tritium sights FAFO.

Do you have a link for that ratchet set?
