What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Dropped it off for PPF @ 405 Motoring including Xpel windshield protection film and 20% Xpel ceramic tint to match the factory privacy glass. Don't forget 45% on the windshield too.

In <200 miles from new, PPF dude spotted a chip. They're going to custom color match touch it up. I was so anxious that I'd get a windshield ding up until my appt.

$4.5K job = peace o' mind & privacy. Always wrap up son!

Did a lot of trip prep. Departing this am from Arizona and headed to Boise ID to meet up with my 2 friends in BMW GS bikes. We do this every year.

This year we will explore Eastern Idaho/West Montana and down to Yellowstone and swing it back to Hells Canyon OR. Then we split up as I head to La Pine / Crater Lake OR and drop one friend off and I head solo for Lost Coast (Usal Beach) CA and Big Sur and drive by Death Valley CA before getting home. Mostly pavement this time around. We did a lot on dirt last two years with my Gladiator.

List of things done :
Made a rear deck out of Unistrut and OSB
Attached tie off points
Made RTT mount also out of Unistrut
Added trash caddy
Made new RTT ladder hooks
Installed GMRS antenna
Change diff gear oil
Installed Bluetti Charger 1 DC to DC
Installed a Pelican rifle case on rack

I did a lot of stuff really.

Anyways, off to my trip

I'd love to know more about that ladder and what you have strapped to it at the top? what is in that bag/box? And is that just a strap around the ladder keeping it in place? Beautiful colour btw :)

Long drive today, (for the UK!), Melton Mowbray to Colchester, to Dover Cruise Terminal to Melton Mowbray, 424 miles, 0525 to 1600 with two 35 minute breaks while driving and two lots of 20 minutes either loading or unloading wife and mother, with their luggage, (neither has the hang of travelling light).

Grenadier has done it without complaint and still has an estimated range of 90 miles, so about 26mpg, at or close to the speed limits, (so varying between 30 and 70mph, with bits at 40 and 50 where limits were varied for congestion or roadworks).

I have to do much the same on Sunday, with a much earlier start, as they need picking up from Dover at 0755!

Drove to the top of Mt Washington yesterday. Gorgeous up there at a nice 62 F while the rest of NH was in the upper 80’s to low 90’s

Side note the altimeter was close to being accurate up there. Off by less than 10 feet.

Thanks Mike! I’m back after a 3 year hiatus! Looking forward to connecting with other owners here and heading out for some adventures and camping. Located near boulder.
Sweet! Lots of folks around for wheeling and such! A couple of us from here are doing the Oktoberfest event. There may be others going to Moab for the event as well.

Liberty the Grenadier is with Compass in Bridgewater for fitting of auxiliary petrol tank. 90L from LRA Australia also fit Ineos OEM black marked springs and fit airbagman air bags in rear springs and modify exhaust to accommodate new tank. All going well so far. They seem like a very competent outfit with great communication 👌🏼
