4 weeks ago I took delivery of my Trialmaster QM that came without utility rail; I thought these were standard items on the Trialmaster.

The dealer told me they were standard parts originally but then they were removed from standard spec and became an option but didn’t tell me when they made the decision.

Does anyone know if this is indeed true and when Ineos made this decision?

Just don’t want to feel short changed if indeed, they should be fitted, or not.

Cheers,
Ross

What does your order say?

I think the exterior rails were standard for the QM TM, but internal optional. For the Grenadier TM the external rail were standard but some internal cargo items were optional.

Admittedly, the spec doesn’t list them but I’m sure I saw this as a standard feature some time ago.

Having just wanted a side rail attachment r at least a single fixed point (coughs, like my Toyota did) it’s a niggle alongside having to remove the spare wheel…no, you can’t say should’ve got a tray… 😉

I’m ok to be wrong with my memory, I just want to be sure.

In the US, I had to pay for the L track. I was paying for the bottom of tub but got two pairs. One for bottom and one for side. Another person on here commented they order and got them free as they were suppose to come with the Trialmaster. My vehicle is a base built up.

I think in some of the overseas markets the L track rails come standard but in the USA they do not.

I have been told that the kit cost is around $400 and should have all four L track rails needed. I will be picking up a set next week and confirm this.

I have them in my tub and it sounds right

My experience with my '25 Trialmaster QM was that it did not come with the L-track rails. I have them on order.

An enterprising person with a metal saw and countersink bit could source the appropriate lengths of L-track, cut to length, and add the countersunk holes at each end, and probably do so with less out-of-pocket than the OEM Grenadier units.

I thought about making my own too. However spacing for the holes has to be exact to ensure the threaded holes in the bed line up. Keep in mind that the available L track being sold online comes in various strengths and shapes, such as angled, rounded and recessed.

I will probably make my own rails for the floor of the tub using available high strength angled L track, using the factory rails as a template. Using the angled version will help eliminate a trip hazard and a place to collect dirt and debris. I also plan to eliminate the plastic tub liner and spray the tub with LINE-X or Rhino liner.
