I can confirm that my 2024 USB ports do not transmit data either.

Same for all vehicles that use wireless AA or Carplay only.I'm in the same boat with my Android Auto. The INEOS website states that AA is wired only. It's the opposite and now my Starlink is pretty much worthless. It makes no sense that a vehicle designed to be out in the wilderness won't allow you to use your Starlink for your phone signal. If you disconnect from AA to use the Starlink Wi-Fi, you will no longer have access to OnX and other features that can only be obtained through AA. I have a support request in asking for a workaround. I'll post it if I receive one.
Has anyone tried this? Last time I tried using my iPad connected to the Starlink which worked for data but my iPad doesn’t have GPS so it didn’t know where I was. I did not try and connect my phone to the iPad. Might be worth a try.Same for all vehicles that use wireless AA or Carplay only.
A possible solution would be to have one phone connected to Starlink via wifi, and a second phone connected to the car using AA/Carplay.
You can then tether the two phones using bluetooth to get internet from the first to the second phone. It might work, worth a try.
It would be more likely to work if you used a laptop to connect to Starlink and then tether to the main phone using usb or bluetooth.
Possible but a bit much just to have connectivity in a vehicle that is supposed to get very far away from cell signalsSame for all vehicles that use wireless AA or Carplay only.

thanks for this - I am so pissed at this as I don't want bluetooth and wifi in the car - I always used CarPlay wired in all my other cars and it seems to be a logical option, especially for a car that prides itself to be low tech - do you know any hack to fix this? apparently the usb-c port has dataI sorta remember reading that a some point in 2024 Ineos stopped supporting wired car play. That sucks when you want to connect your phone to starlink and then use the phone for a wired carplay connection. At least this is what I was told on my adventure through Southern Utah a few months ago.
Edit: This is from the owner's manual.
Connecting Apple CarPlay
After connecting your phone or tablet using Bluetooth, Apple CarPlaywill be displayed automatically. If the phone is being connected for the first time, follow the instructions on the Center Display and
Touchscreen and/or your Apple CarPlay device screen to finish thesetup. Apple CarPlay requires iOS 13 and above. Your CarPlay device must have Hotspot turned on for wireless Apple CarPlay to work.
The issue is that wireless carplay also needs a wifi connection. Frankly, It's fucking stupid that they ditched wired carplay.
We have an early delivery, I believe it’s been wireless CarPlay only since day one. Haven’t found a way around the issue described above. Tend to use Organic Maps (which works offline) in CarPlay when out of mobile signal range. Passengers use the StarLink which is default powered to the ignition.thanks for this - I am so pissed at this as I don't want bluetooth and wifi in the car - I always used CarPlay wired in all my other cars and it seems to be a logical option, especially for a car that prides itself to be low tech - do you know any hack to fix this? apparently the usb-c port has data
