Turning radius improvement with simple bolt-stop mod?

Stock steering damper? Could you post your steering readout in Degrees L/R, before & after this steering stop mod?

Fox steering damper. Not the fancy one. I had 29 and 31 degrees before the change and haven't moved it yet. I'll update in the next day or two.

Since you are discussing steering stabilizers...

Does anyone have any experience with the basic Fox stabilizer vs the Fox 2 ATS.

The roads were I live have lots of damage from earth movement. This exasperates any off center issues.

I use the 18" wheels with a more street type tire as well as the basic Fox steering stabilizer for long highway travel.

I have 17" wheels and AT tires when overlanding or off road.

The question is: does anyone have experience that would show a marked improvement with the advance Fox 2 ATS.

Thanks

I climbed under mine today to adjust the stops to the "2- thick washer" method. BTW- they're M12 bolts, so you can always use 12mm washers too, instead of the 7/16" Agile calls for. (I find it odd that people in the US will install SAE parts on a metric car.) Anyway, the stop bolts on my Gren are 40mm. They seem to be bottoming out before they reach the washers. I cleaned the paint off with a wire brush. I ran the stop nuts all the way down to be sure the threads were good. I double checked and it's not because I'm reaching the end of the threads on the bolt (i.e. the washers are thick enough.) So I ended up with the stop nuts adjusted all the way in and called it a day. If I need more- I suppose I'll investigate more.
"Thick" metric washers are not common here even in industrial settings, while every corner hardware store has Grade 8 SAE hardware readily available.

I just walked over to the hardware store and looked in the stainless metric section. Bought 4. Ace hardware for the win.
You found 4 "thick" stainless washers at Ace? 🤔that doesn't happen most places.

Out of curiosity I went looking for the equivalent metric washers at McMaster they are 25 for $14 and another $36 for shipping, So $50.

The question was was why John used SAE washers Grade 8 washers, it's because it is what we have on hand.

I'm within an hour drive of McMaster, so overnight shipping is by their white van delivery, and typically only $8.
