Stuck at Cape York

Without meaning to offend anyone. I wish Ineos would put as much effort, dedication, and hard work into issuing press releases informing about the progress in fixing the things that aren't working in the car and the organization. Does no one else have that thought?

For a start, listen to the 2 podcasts
It's not as if they are sitting on their hands.

Lynn Calder has covered what they are finding out about the vehicle from the forum members here and as far as the company Ineos,
it is publishing press releases of their journey regularly but if you are talking IA, Lynn has spoken many times of the trials.
It is worth searching here and exploring the Ineos Automotive Company Grenadier website.

And when will the solutions to the reported problems come? Have they seen the dozens of second-hand cars for sale? The percentage is absurd compared to new car sales.

Do you accurate information as to why they are for sale?
I suspect somehow Ineos know the issues/ complaints. And I'm sure the IA team don't want the project to fail.

Perhaps you can tell us:
  1. do you own an INEOS. If yes, for how long?
  2. how many problems does your car have?
  3. what is the source of your information; and
  4. why should I believe anything you post here?
Otherwise I am happy to put you on my ignored members list.

TBH. My vehicle works well, I’ve had it over 2 years. Most of everything I need works and any minor issues I had were rectified pretty quickly. On top of that the support from this online community is hard to beat. I’m not exactly sure what your angle is with this post and maybe you have had a different experience from me - assuming that you own a grenadier? But your comments don’t reflect my experience.

Knock on wood, but I must have gotten a unicorn as well.

From my sampling of the used Grenadiers in the marketplace, most are being sold by people who purchased them as a round town car only to be put off by the size and truck like driving qualities.

I think a lot of lockerless abandoned pre orders are on the market distorting things a tad. Lotsa pre orders from people that didn’t know anything. In retrospect, letting those off the line was a bad idea, as the practical use of this truck without them is nil, and they are killing resale. I don’t know that anyone in marketing would have reasonably thought of that tho.

WOW that’s hell of a broad statement. With that opinion 99.9999% of all Old school Defenders etc are “practical use of this truck without them is nil”..!!!
I specifically ordered mine without lockers & then searched out a demonstrator that didn’t have them. When I was invited to the Ineos off-road event a few years ago (in my bad ass unlocked D130) non of the demonstrators had useable lockers & did absolutely fine in very gnarly wet slippery muddy/leaf covered course. The extremely experienced & knowledgeable instructor agreed the vast majority of owners would never need or use them. It seems to be a particularly US centric (or hardcore Aussie) desire.

This isn’t 1994 when nothing had lockers. Any pickup can be had with them, and the defenders electronic lockers work quite well.

Having a lockerless gren just makes an overweight over priced undersized suv that doesn’t contribute to the do it all anywhere rep they were shooting for, and they are currently glutting the market as no one that knows anything wants one.

I really think that having the axle lockers makes a lot more attractive second hand vehicle purchase

It doesn’t have the best clearance, or articulation. Dragging yourself needs to be an option.
It’s good for what it is. In my view it’s an extremely comfortable overlander. Although I would love the clearance of a portal axle.
Now if only I could justify the expense. 🤔

I've heard Only Fans brings in very good money; there must be people out there who would pay to see you in the wild wearing filthy leopard print togs 😉

Just watch out for DMs from the former, disgraced University of Michigan football coach. 😬
