Steering stabilizer bar

Several credible reports here. Mine did once but I didn't have a stabilizer on at the time so that doesn't really count.
Except that does count. It was argued that death wobble is not caused by a steering stabilizer, or lack thereof, but by a poorly designed or maintained steering system.
Steering systems should require no maintenance on vehicles with less than 20k miles.
That leaves poor design as the culprit.

I've had death wobble at 80mph. Shockingly violent!
I had less than 10k miles at the time and was running an aftermarket stabilizer. Everything else stock.

I can agree based on the fact that most of my big trucks don't have a stabilizer and non of them have death wobble.

True. I think some confuse death wobble with the kickback from the steering when you hit a pothole at high speed.

We have plenty of those potholes on UK motorways as the government would rather spend money elsewhere.
I find that 80mph is the top end on a road that is not perfect. Not necessarily death wobble but a shaky experience. When going over bridges speed bumps, etc.

There has been no steering damper on my Grenadier going back to July. The only feedback through the steering is when cornering on the interstate at typical high speeds. There can be a momentary oscillation while in corners that happens sporadically not consistently and stops immediately upon exiting the corner. I will be installing the adjustable Fox damper and expect it to eliminate the oscillation.
